This post is directed towards internal problems. External/Military conflicts are a whole nother ball game.
TLDR: If you don't live here & make opinions off of information from the media you don't understand americans aside from stereotypes. If you don't understand us you can't possibly solve our problems.
------------------------------------------
With the recent Oregon shooting I have seen a lot of gun debates flare up. One thing that bothered me was all of the people that don't live in the United States that think they can solve all of our problems.
You don't live here so you're probably making opinions off of media & stereotypes. How can you possibly understand the people of a country you don't live in? The United States is one of the most diverse countries in the World & I don't think a lot of people understand what it's like to live in a place with so much diversity. American beliefs can be DRASTICALLY different because so many people come from different cultures/countries.
What works for one country won't necessarily work for another. All countries have different people with different values and beliefs. If you present the same problem to every country, every one will have a different solution that works.

To be fair, our country does have a lot of things about it that no civilized country should have to deal with. Cops using their authority to do as they please and get away with murder, A political party of religious, racist nutjobs who ignore any and all science, and want to try and lead our country into a Social Darwinist dystopia (Republicans), and dwindling interest of the country's youth in anything that isn't related to their own stupid teen age drama. Other than the part about teens, you don't see countries in Europe dealing with this shit.
