LIQUID WATER ON MARS!
NASA just announced they found liquid water on Mars! Before they found strong evidence of organic compounds and now they just found liquid water. This is as close to discovering life as we can get without actually discovering it! One step closer! This has to be one of the most exciting discoveries in space exploration in years. Great work NASA!
Edit: This also makes the possibility of a Mars colony a lot easier! One step closer from expanding from 1 planet to 2!
Edit: NASA believe the water is probably very salty. That's most likely the only way liquid water could exist.

Edit: I'm reading news about it as its coming out. Some scientists are think that terraforming Mars could be easier and faster if we have a source of liquid water! THIS IS HUGE!

The article that I read said they confirmed evidence of water which is not the same as confirming water. It came off a lot like Cayde saying "There is no doubt in my mind that this could work."

I hate to be "that guy" on the forums correcting posts but this but they did not find liquid water. They found salt that could only form from moving water within the past week. Still it is an amazing find.

They've know this for years, once they found frozen water then there was a 90% chance they'd find liquid water and anyway they already know liquid water exists on another planetary body in our solar system Europa the Ice moon.of jupitor has a sea under it's ice exterior. so not sure why this is big news they will always keep thing secret for many years until they decide to tell.
