NASA just announced they found liquid water on Mars! Before they found strong evidence of organic compounds and now they just found liquid water. This is as close to discovering life as we can get without actually discovering it! One step closer! This has to be one of the most exciting discoveries in space exploration in years. Great work NASA!
Edit: This also makes the possibility of a Mars colony a lot easier! One step closer from expanding from 1 planet to 2!
Edit: NASA believe the water is probably very salty. That's most likely the only way liquid water could exist.
That means we can actually say the forums are salty like the water on Mars!!!
Edit: I'm reading news about it as its coming out. Some scientists are think that terraforming Mars could be easier and faster if we have a source of liquid water! THIS IS HUGE!
Edit: More than 1100 comments! Very cool!
Our solar system is but a grain of sand in an endless sea of aw and wonder and yet we as humans have only begun to open the door to a universe filled with infinite possibilities. Being the most intelligent species in a solar system is like being the king of a chair. It means nothing, and yet it is everything we know.
TL;DR: NASA made a huge discovery by finding proof of liquid water on Mars which is a perfect environment for life.

This is good news :) I'm always interested in learning about the wonders of outer space
-
Next thing you know we got 800lb aliens that are highly miltarized.
-
Cabal this, Cabal that. Blah Blah Traveler. Why is nobody talking about the Prothean Archives?
-
Be careful of that slippery slope and let the study continue. They'll find something.
-
You will only be able to go to mars in the next expansion pack, The Taken Salt
-
Religious peoples' heads are going to explode if they find life there.
-
The Golden Age has begun.

Actually NASA has known for years that there is water on Mars, as both poles are frozen water. What they have discovered is that there is water that flows over the planet from time to time. The water that flows over the planet doesn't freeze because it has a high salt content. They are still unsure where this water comes from - be it underground aquifers or the high salt content pulling water out of the atmosphere - but now that liquid water has been confirmed the theory that life forms could potentially live on Mars is more plausible. Probably underground, probably single celled.

Dang, how cool will if be for those people going there in the next couple years. Dang, if they had wifi I'd totally want to go. Haha.
-
Hell yeah
-
Dr who, waters of Mars.
-
Now all we need is a giant, omnipotent floating robot sphere and were good.
-
This is a lie they actually found the traveler.
-
I don't need them to discover life to know it's out there. The arrogance of scientists to say there's no life on other planets because they haven't discovered it yet is hilarious to me. We haven't even discovered all the life in our own friggin ocean... Just to be clear, I believe life exists elsewhere in the universe, I just don't think they've ever visited earth.
-
Next thing we know "Whether we've wanted it or not..."
-
That's extremely disappointing, where's the cabal at?
-
Cabal
-
ALMOST CERTAINLY! wait...
-
Traveler makin' it rain!
-
Prepare your anus. The golden age is coming bitch
-
did they actually ? if they did thats freaking awesome !
-
First thought: I wonder how it tastes

Astronauts land on Mars for the first time. One of them is a destiny player. The commander takes his first step out of the lander and puts his foot down on Martian soil. *Cabal music starts playing* Destiny player: Oh, oh no. Commander: What? What could possibly wrong now? Destiny player: Nah I'm out, *Slams door of lander and ignites thrusters leaving entire team behind.* Random astronaut: What the hell! We're trapped here now! Commander: *Looking at horizon as music grows in volume.* Hand me my Supercell!

Disappointing. I thought they had found the black garden. Water? Pfft, nerds.
