I know this is a dumb question but I haven't done any raids and I'm more of a casual player that can get in the zone and have some good days... my question is, are the mechanics and methods for these enemies absolutely necessary or can you go in blind and still complete the raid attacking with different strategies? Forgive the noob question lol

But a more direct answer...is you should try and understand the general way to kill them. For example, war priest: step on plates in sequence, dps boss, hide from light. Golgoroth: 2 gazers, 4 dps, pop orbs for pool of damage multiplier and shoot him in the stomach, rinse and repeat. Deathsingers: jump on platforms in order counterclockwise, grab relic, group up and dps witch. Oryx: jump on platforms in order, kill ogre, group up in middle; dps oryx, touch bomb, dps oryx, sprint around (above 50% health), kill echo of oryx (below 50% health). Know these general steps and your team should be glad to Ellaborate

Awesome thanks! That's really what I was getting at. Are there "set in stone" methods that Everyone had to adhere to in order to complete the raid? Gotcha. Thanks a lot, I'll probably watch a video or two to check out strategies before I give it a shot.

I just took a complete noob through the raid a few hours ago in about three hours, and the most important part for anybody new going in is to really try and be a quick learner and be able to follow directions. If you communicate with the people trying to walk you through what you do and don't understand about the mechanics, so you can get some more clarification, the better you and your teammates will do without people getting upset. Another tip is to also expect a little frustration from your teammates once in awhile, just be chill and acknowledge that you are trying your best to figure it out most people can handle it when someone is completely honest about what they do and don't know how to do and are willing to try and help you out. But like I said, at the end of the day the experienced players also don't want to waste a ton more time than it should take trying to teach new players,so the quicker you can learn the strategies on your own the better attitude your teammates will have towards you.
