They are talking about the kills that you get as a result of WoD whether it be a buff or a kill inside the bubble.

Exactly, WoD cannot get kills. I also believe it counts tethered enemies as kills.

But you're still getting kills as a result of that super. By your logic the flash bang from Titans doesn't do anything because it doesn't actually do the killing.
