Because the subclass as a whole for Titans is garbage. But the super is just too good.

 • Ok did you read what I just posted? Nightstalkers are still getting around 30% more kills with their supers than Sunbreakers. HoS must be soo good that it get's its buttocks handed to it by Nightstalkers Shadow shot on a silver platter as far as getting consistent kills not to mention that it doesn't shut down supers either. You can run from HoS. There is no running from Shadow shot. you're pinned to the ground.

 • Because let's face it, noobs main Titans. And this is coming from a guy who mains a Titan. Hunters are usually more skilled players and warlocks will do whatever cheap shit it takes to win, so it doesn't surprise me to see Titans throwing hammers that don't get kills.

 • I think Hunters are usually better for PvP when it comes to all other skills.

 • Yes because the best players don't go for the most op classes at all. They go for the hardest one to use so they can psych their opponents out and somehow gain an obscure advantage. And it's probably much easier to throw an arcing hammer than an instant hitscan weapon which can have generous amounts of aim assist added to it. It also doesn't have a windup time but lets face it that probably makes them a little too fast at killing thus making it harder for them to use the effects of combustion.

 • Then why don't the best players go for them? Are you telling me that all the best players would purposefully make things harder for themselves by picking a weaker subclass? Is that why they all picked tlw/thorn over nlb?

 • The hunter is the most skill rewarding subclass, whereas the titan is not. Regardless of what people think it takes skill to wipe 4+ people with arcblade (golden gun too). Both were very fragile and easy to kill, especially a few months ago. Thorn/TLW was the meta and it was pretty much forced onto people because there weren't many guns to choose from. In terms of what takes the most skill to the least amount Hunters > Titans > Warlocks Everything warlock's have is easy mode if we're going to be honest lol.
I can almost assure you that majority of people that use hunters based on how they look. They're the best looking character in the game(opinion, sorta). I chose mine back when the game first came out because of the cloaks/armor
• Either way the hunter is the best subclass. Not even bragging but getting 4 kills with gg isn't that hard. As long as you're competent at aiming hand cannons lining up 4 people isn't that bad. I agree arc blade took some skill, not sure about pre armor nerf though wasn't into crucible at that point. Anybody worth their salt should find Sunbreaker to be lacking in comparison. There's my point. If Sunbreaker was that op then it would force everybody to play a Sunbreaker to even have a chance at pvp but that's not the case. Thus Sunbreaker isn't what many say is 'the most broken thing I've seen in a game.' In your final statement we have another problem. According to Destiny Tracker Warlocks overall do better than Titans in the crucible yet are easier to use. So where's the Titans recourse? Either way the Sunbreaker isn't op because it is beatable by other classes if utilized properly and the potential as you said is much less than at least Nightstalkers.
Tbh I picked Titans because I love their look and everything they stand for. However that being said I've been trying to shoehorn myself into a playstyle that just isn't me. I hate shotguns and think a close up melee is just asking for trouble. Even though Hunters are a bit twerpy I am starting to realize that I should probably just quit as a Titan cause the style just isn't me after all.
How is my final statement wrong? I said Warlocks take the least amount of skill among the 3. They have the best grenades, the best melee, and they have a super that literally does all the work for them. But, Sun-breaker is a much better super than Arc-blade could ever be. The only difference is BladeDancer had a better overall skill tree. Most people again use the hunter because it is their favorite class, which so happened to have the best skill tree available at the time. So it does not surprise me that they are not switching to titans just for a super. Currently, nightstalker is the best subclass in the game, period. Sunbreaker has the best super and the best kill output in the game too. I dont go off of destinytracker simply because more people use the other classes than a titan. If we're also being honest, most people that use a titan are not good. Getting 4 kills with GG last meta took some degree of skill lol. Its hard as hell to get 3+ kills when everyone is using thorn, sniper shotguns, and g&h rocket launchers. I love my titan more than my warlock, but I cant deny that its so much easier than my hunter. Striker titan IMO is shit and the other two (especially the bubble) are so much better if you're a good player. To your spoiler, play whatever suits you best man. I used to shotgun a lot & snipe a lot. I'd say about 60% shotgun & 40% snipe. But now I literally only use a sniper as my secondary.

 • Sorry I didn't mean that you were wrong in your last statement. What I meant was that Sunbreakers can't be op if they do worse than Stormcallers overall and are still harder to use. Although I agree that overall Sunbreakers are better than Bladedancers that shouldn't be a big deal. With the exception of Gunslinger for pvp and Defender for pve the new subclasses blow the rest of them out of the water. I can agree with Nightstalker being the new best class in the game. Not so much on Sunbreakers having the most kills with their super. The most streaks? Probably. But consistently getting the most super kills not really. I can see people staying with their fav. class. But as far as player skill goes why do you think the most skilled players gravitated towards the Hunter in the first place? Maybe we'll have to disagree on this one. After heavy ammo is picked up yea it takes some skill. Before that nope not really. If you can score hits with a hand cannon then you're all good. If you cant do that then you have bigger problems in this online shooter. But yes it does take some gun skill which everyone in this game should already have, otherwise no amount of op abilities is saving you lol. Striker usually=buckshot to the face or not using your abilities for me. I loved Defender but after seeing my suppression grenades debuff a blade dancer and not take them out of their super one too many times I realized that for pvp all I had was my Ward. Which only comes up a few times a game, often got canceled out by other supers and was only really awesome if there were other Defenders in my team. Yea I started as a sniper then tried out shotguns for a while. I am good enough with them now but its ultimately not my thing. Though I doubt I'd be able to snipe in the more cqc maps. Check out my other thread which explains why the classes are fairly even in distribution and the Hunters still do the best. You're skill argument is subjective no offense. You can find the thread through my comments on the profile.

 • I was mainly saying that because majority of the top 100 use hunters. Why? Because its more skill rewarding than the others. You can be the best player in the world and use striker but it'll be hard to chain kills with that class because of the 1 and done. Honestly if sunbreaker came out during release, more people would use a titan rather than the other 2.

 • Interesting thought. Maybe it's true. Hunters are definitely more skill rewarding for one reason or another. Would of been interesting if Sunbreaker came out during release. You could be right, though outside of the super Sunbreakers are still decent but not phenomenal or anything.

 • Thats what I try to tell people as well lol. Sunbreaker is literally 100% based around the super which does make sense for why it is so good. My ONLY issue with it is that it has way too much health. I love the class and I don't partake in that stupid class wars shit.

 • I can see a small health nerf being reasonable. I try not to get involved eithier I would just hate to see Sunbreaker get botched especially after Titans finally got a nice pvp class.
