Any use to level gunsmith past rank 1?
As title says, whats the point behind rank 1? I placed an order right now.

Here you go: At each Gunsmith Rank, he will award you with a random weapon in a package At each Gunsmith Rank (Might be capped at 3) you will get another Arms Day purchase At Rank 2, the Gunsmith will give you a class-specific legendary weapon quest. The Stillpiercer for Hunters, the Susanoo for Warlocks, and the Immobius for Titans. At Rank 3, the Gunsmith will give you a class-specific Exotic weapon quest. The Ace of Spades for Hunters, the TLALOC for Warlocks, and the Fabian Strategy for Titans. It is also speculated that at Rank 5, the Gunsmith will give you the quest to get the First Curse which is an Exotic handcannon.

Every rank gives you the opportunity to purchase more foundry orders to my understanding. In addition, at rank 2, you get a class specific legendary quest (Titans get shotguns, Hunters get Sniper rifles, Warlocks get fusion rifles) At rank 3, you get a class specific exotic quest (Titans: Fabian Strategy (Exotic Auto Rifle), Warlock: Tlaloc (Exotic Scout Rifle), Hunter: The Ace of Spades (Exotic Hand Cannon) Beyond that, I do not know, but I suspect there are more quests and potentially more exotics that will be introduced through him. Furthermore, each wednesday gives you the opportunity to select from 3 different weapons per foundry order. For example, you order a Hakke Heja-D pulse rifle from Banshee. The following Arms Day Wednesday, your order will come in, and you may then select from 3 different variants with different perk spreads. You may then select whichever one has perks and stats that are to your liking. If you don't like any of them, select one and dismantle, because, hey, free legendary marks.

Most of it is covered below, but main reasons are the rank 2 and 3 guns... but each rank gives you a package just like every other vendor... I got a 290 Hakke sniper last night from a rank 2 package... get to rank 3 at least... then decide where to go from there

I say thr biggest reasons is legendary reward packages, higher your tank the more orders you can place and the more choices you have when you pick up orders.

The higher your rank with the gunsmith is, the better rewards you will receive. At rank 1 you get a package that may contain a legendary weapon. At rank 2 you will receive a class quest for a special legendary weapon; it's fairly easy and the weapon can only be used by one class. At rank 3 you will receive a call quest for an exotic primary, Hunter is Ace of Spades hand cannon, Titan is Fabian Strategy auto rifle, and Warlock is Tlaloc scout rifle. The other benefits is armsday orders. Each rank lets you pick up the same amount of orders and gives you the ranks amount of choices to pick from. (I.E. rank 1 one order, one choice. Rank 5 five orders, five choices for each order, etc) Having more choices will give you a better opportunity to get the weapon and perks that you want. If you decide that you don't like the weapons, you can place orders on all you classes and dismantle them for legendary marks.

1 ReplyRank 2 gives you a quest for a class specific legendary. Quest 3 is the same, but for an exotic. You get more guns per week the higher your rank is, and choices in how they are forged. For example, tier 3 gets to buy 3 different weapons and choose from 3 different pre selected drops.

Each rank allows you to carry additional weapon orders. On top of that hitting rank 2 grants you a short quest for a class specific legendary weapons and hitting rank 3 grants you a short quest for your class specific exotic primary. That said after rank three, uses for additional ranks SEEM limited. I say SEEM because we don't have all the info yet, including the info on how to get the Sleeper Simulant.

Yes at ranks 3 you can get an exotic from doing the quest. Plus weapon orders!
