Nightfall is endgame. How can you do endgame without getting to the current end? The heroic strikes are above the level cap. Why would the people who have not purchased the expansion that allows the higher level cap to participate? You can't pick a specific game mode? Granted that one sucks but is a non issue. You can easily either suck it up and play through the other modes in the playlist (just ignore the objective if you want the regular mode) or quit each time you get the wrong mode (which is just silly) And the story missions on heroic don't grant anything worth grinding for anyway
