Well of course you can't play end game content if you aren't at the end of the game.
Nightfall is there for those who have finished the game and want challenges. If you don't buy TTK you will never reach end game content. Sorry but this is how it will always be.

People (TTK owners) keep on arguing that endgame content is at the end of the game. Fair point. Given the cost of the different Destiny parts (I.e pre and post TTK), though, surely these can be considered different games and thus both have endgame content? It wouldn't even be that hard to do. But Bungie can't be bothered, and they would rather force money out of customers and lock content away. Bastards. Also, there is plenty of other content no longer available, leaving pre TTK Destiny pretty shite: - play strikes above level 20 - specifically play Control, - specifically play Clash - specifically play Skirmish - specifically play Salvage - specifically play Rumble - story missions that you pick above their original level (i.e. A level 3 story mission cannot be dialed up to a level 20 or 32) - Nightfall Weekly and Daily heroic strikes - play Trials when that comes around - play Iron Banner when that comes around - buy legendaries from the factions - play the daily crucible

Edited by ExtraSythe: 9/17/2015 10:44:57 PMYou're being ridiculous. If Bungie could have two separate areas for non DLC or some other fix, I'm sure they would have done it that way. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they are working on something right now. I'm thinking it's the PS3 and 360 limitations that are the main reason things are this way. And why is no one talking about the things you have got since the expansion?? I paid for those DLC maps in crucible, but non DLC users get them free. How is that fair? I wish you could still have content, but I am glad you don't otherwise myself and others who have the DLC would be held back playing lower tier content and then we would be complaining not you. It is what it is.

this is not how it always was, not even with Destiny. This is a new business model for them, and one that negatively affects a lot of people.

First- "will be" and "was" are two different things. Second- each expansion has locked non DLC players out of nightfall. I betcha the next DLC will do the same. End game content is for end game. I'm sorry I wish you could still access it, I do, but then I'm the one who's pissed because I'm being held back by non DLC players.
