What game did you love when you were young, online only, excluding destiny

When I was young there wasn't such a thing like online gaming. But if you count teenager years as young, I'd say Gears of War, my first real online gaming experience, I got home internet quite late compared to others, but damn, even today Gears is my favorite game ever, in every way.

First online games I played: age of empires 1, via TCP/IP. We played a lot of DeltaForce (nova logic, whatever happened to them?) on college LAN during lunch.
