Since downloading and deploying the Destiny 2.0 Update I have experienced Destiny completely freezing up twice to the point where restarting the game from the title was my only recourse, The first time it happened I did a hard restart on the system just in case that might help. Both times it has occurred when there were above average number of A.I. enemies. Once being during the Weekly Heroic Strike (+9 coins) during the first real enemy encounter in said strike and the second time being the first part of the Crota Raid Hard when the thrall count was high and all members relatively close together. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of the issue because this could become really annoying.
