Well from what I understand oryx isn't actually a hive God. He is like napoleon, he is a self proclaimed God. There are actually a bunch of hive gods that will come after we kill oryx in the forge of the gods. But, that's just all speculation. It's interesting though that the hive are getting a lot of game time versus the other races. I have also heard a theory that when the queen dies in the taken king, her brother will hold the guardians responsible and he will become a boss of one of the year two expansions. There is a lot that they could do, including intrude more enemy races. One thing to remember, this game revolves around the darkness, which is a race that people seem to forget is in this game, so we could/should see much more darkness creatures as we get further And further into the yearly cycles.

Yeah, ultimately I think there just needs to be a good balance between large and small bosses, a little diversity goes a long way.

I thought that Oryxz was like the Zeus of the Hive Pantheon? Oryx, Ür, Yol, and the other ones. But please if I am wrong let me know.

The hive cabal vex and fallen are all part of the darkness it's not a single race. Look at your gears perks. At least one should have this. "Increased super energy from killing minions of the darkness."

Wrong. The Fallen are fighting the darkness just like us. I think the hive embraced the darkness. The Cabal are running from the darkness. I'm not sure about the Vex.

Minions of the darkness doesn't mean they are actually darkness. There has only been one "darkness" creature so far in destiny and that was in the black garden. Don't you remember the black cloud at the end of the story? That is the darkness and there are more then just one. If there weren't, the game would be over as the traveler would have no other enemies hunting it. But, again, the fallen, vex (especially), cabal, and hive only use the darkness, they are not darkness. Just like guardians use the light, they are not the light (traveler). The vex are not the same race as the darkness as the vex worshipped the darkness as a God, because, even with their far reaching intellect and understanding of time, they were still not able to comprehend the darkness itself.

The black cloud was the black gardens heart. Not the darkness. Think about it like this. Guardians=light. Everything else is simply -blam!-ing darkness. That's it. Everything is. It's alllllllllllllllllll the darkness.

Are you getting mad? Lol I know year one destiny didn't have much story but it did have some. In the opening video you see this black looking cloud callee the darkness chasing the traveler. Then later on in the story mission you are tasked with going into the black garden, and slaying the darkness at its heart. Play the mission again and clean your ears out. If you want to start getting all ornery then you can, it's not going to change anything about it. And guardians are not the light, they are forged in light but they are not the light. I know the metaphorical story that is destiny is really hard for people to follow because there is so much abstract concepts but the light and the dark, but it is only a symbolizing the fight between what helped us and what hunts the helper. It also doesn't help that be creature is white and the other is black. But in short, that is a creature, and you kill it. And, surprise surprise, it has the ability to resurrect (three big ass vex) just like the traveler resurrected you through its fiduciaries, the ghosts.

Lol "when the queen dies", people see someone fall down in a trailer and all of a sudden that character is definitely dying in the expansion. Also the storyline is hive focused because they're the most intimately involved with the darkness. The fallen are just jelly we took their girlfriend - I mean Dyson sphere - and cabal are derpin around just trying to take over stuff because they need more room for their empire or something. The vex are also around but they're not really involved with the darkness, they're just trying to become gravity's brother.

They didn't show her fall in the first trailer. Which that theory of her dying is from before that even though it hadn't got any traction until after the falling scene was released. Which Bungie only did to create more buzz and chatter on the forums.
