So after only one year of the release of destiny they've announced a lot of bosses, including even two Gods.. Just wondering what else you guys think they'll bring out?
Destiny year 3: Crota's mom - The taken Queen (lel)
Edit: Woah, never expected such a turn out to a simple question like this, thanks to everyone for providing answers and theories!
-
I'd love something based around the Cabal or the Fallen House of Kings. Both have always had my curiosity.
-
I'm hoping we end up in diff galaxies along the way and can actually fly our ships in a couple of years 😄
-
Hunt down the Rogue Guardian. Plot twist-he's got Hunter, Warlock, and Titan abilities.
-
There are 4 more hive gods, all stronger than oryx. Another fallen house (kings? ) More vex (they're potentially never ending since they control time) Cabal boss? There has to be someone controlling them.
-
Emperor of the cabal. The cabal are the only race that doesn't have an end game yet
-
Oryx's dad

I believe the last two DLC/expansions rumored after the TK will both answer some questions in the current game, and set up destiny 2's launch. Chances are, if they do plan to release anything related to the traveler, it will be a cliff hanger that leads into the sequel. I hear they plan to release two additional DLCs/expansions, post-TK. If true, that will probably cover year 2. I would be surprised if they release a new expansion for year 3. I'd be even more surprised if that surprising year three release was also available on last gen. I have a feeling, year 2 will lead up to the sequel, depending on how many more years current gen has left. As for that whole ten year plan thing. That's the franchise, and not the current game.

I heard that a grimoire states that there is a rogue titan teaming up with the cabal Maybe in the Cabal DLC

The hardest, most annoying thing destiny ever created...
The Cryptard
Cabal dlc rocket.mcdickface's cousin, twin chain guns! Vex dlc atheota, a vex has consumed crotas body, it looks like atheon but has crotas sword! Completly remastered. Destiny 4, the unfallen skolas taken revenge. It's skolas! He's back but now he has a new melee move! And and he has a blacksmith shader equipped!
-
cabal high command, House of Kings' archon/kell, source of vex dark god, more hive pantheon, Osiris/rogue guardians, the nine.
-
Year 10: Randal the vandal
-
A cabal overlord
-
The taken queen and xylar the timeless
-
Definitely The Nine, and the Vex Mind who controls all of the Vex (I don't know if the Vex even have a leader, but that's just my guess).. Perhaps even the Cabal Commander.
-
Xur and the nine. ._.
-
I believe that the next DLC will be Cabal/Vex. The Vex travel to Earth, and fighting them off, us Guardians accidentally kill a time lord that takes the city out of time. We eventually get it back into our time, but a century has passed and the cabal have taken control of Earth. We then go on a kill fest, only to learn the big Cabal commander is on Earth. We travel to a new place on earth(Africa, U.S., S. America, etc.) and kill him in a new raid.
-
Cabal empire Vex overlords Fallen House of Kings Kell Xylar actual Hive gods, not kings or princes
-
Vex, Atheon makes a come back due that time traveling stuff they do. Guardians start join in the dark or faction tensions rise, so powerful guardians become bosses. Cabal finally become relevant and a massive raid inside cabal territory. House of Kings grow since the others have taken a dive and you must defend the tower. And then there's the Traveler, you enter the Traveler and must fight your way through Vex to it's heart and destroy the deceptive entity.
That last part only makes sense because it's rumored that the original story revolved around the Traveler secretly being evil and feeding off praise, so it made the Vex and the Darkness.
Edited by GrundleBeans: 9/1/2015 9:12:02 PMI expect to learn more about The Nine and whether they are allies or enemies over the course of the game, not in one expansion alone. The next expansion will involve the Vex and I'm expecting it to take place on Mercury. The machine there needs to be explained. The following expansion, Forge of Gods, will involve the Cabal, which may have us killing their emperor, the empire itself, or striking an alliance at the end. If there is an alliance, whether that alliance is with the Cabal or some other race is hard to predict. If we destroy the emperor or empire, it's possible a new enemy will take their place, leading to the start of Year 3 with a new major title release. With Year 3-4, I expect more Hive gods to come, if not all, and an alliance with the Fallen or more likely, the emergence of the true Kell of Kells as the prophecy predicts.

The nine

Why can't I shake the feeling the final boss will be the Speaker and we have to destroy the Traveller?
-
Last expansion is focused on the Vex. Some factions of the Fallen become allies. Fourth race of Guardians + Fourth class will come when the Fallen join the Guardians. The Hive will be repelled or completely destroyed. After Oryx we'll have eventually have another Hive expansion where we kill their swarm heart/mind/whatever and the rest of the Hive dies off. The Cabal make an uneasy alliance with Earth and the Fallen but only after their current Emperor is killed (Cabal expansion) and his successor takes over (who is open to alliances). Last raid will be another Vault of Glass kind of thing but on Earth. Vex structures from the far future appear all over Earth. The penultimate boss fight will be Vex versions of the Guardians you're playing from the far future. They've realized that after all the events of Destiny, maybe the only way to beat Guardians is to pit them against their own Guardians. Final boss are five Hearts of Darkness belonging to a massive tree (think The Old One from Demon's Souls) made out of black steel/Vex metal. The Heart of Darkness we beat in the original Destiny game was just a part of this massive thing. The fight has phases which include mechanics from previous expansions and each phase gets harder than the last. At the end of a phase, a Heart becomes vulnerable. Game ends with the Traveler meeting a rogue faction of Vex that are actually benevolent. They decide that all the war throughout Destiny has scarred the universe too much and the only way to save this dimension is to reset it. The Traveler works with the friendly Vex to erase the Darkness and the Light from reality. The universe is altered. The Fallen never become spacefaring because they never meet the Traveler. The Cabal never enter the Milky Way because there is no Vex to chase. The Hive may still exist in some capacity but they won't be completely evil since the Darkness was erased. They probably bump into Humanity eventually but by that point, humanity will be ready to deal with them. The end. Trust me, my dad works at Nintendo.
