This is my Fifth riddle, and hopefully it isn't too easy. This is called the Riddle of the End. This time, in order to compensate for the higher difficulty, I've added an incentive. The first person to answer this riddle correctly will win a Red Bull Code. And the joy of solving a riddle, but that's probably not why you're here.... Anyways, I've been stalling long enough. Without further ado, The Riddle of the End.
---------------------------------------------------
Do you know my name? No? Then you shall know me as Death.
Far mightier than any sword, I am the vessel of the Queen of Armies. The tip of the spear, and the all knowing eye.
Who/what am I?

First Hint!
I lay asleep, always working. My body lies in the city which at first appears to have been built before the Golden Age. But everything is relatively new.
Second Hint!
You still know not my name? Fool. The Hindus knew of my coming a millennia ago. Now I am become Death.
Third Hint
Perhaps in our last meeting you had made me vulnerable, but still I remain defiant to your sphere. Notice the death which it reeks of? That was my master's doing! And now I come for the rest.
Fourth Hint!
I am the book of your end, bound in stone. I am the tome of the tomb, my purpose to have you join us. I am the tip of a spear carved from ash, it's point is sculpted in seeds. You may know the needle, but you do not know the shape that comes after.
But you will. Soon.
By popular demand, I am releasing Hint 5 early!
Hint 5!
I have said my name is Death, but more fittingly it would be Extinction. I am the Reaper of your sphere and the dirt it will be buried in. My wicked will and plan takes shape in Seeds and Swords, in Cleavers and Needles. The last thing you will hear is the Boom made by my design.
Solved! By Jack Reacher!
The Answer:
The World's Grave
Explanation:
Do you know my name? No? Then you shall know me as Death.
This has two purposes. To clearly establish the thing as your personal enemy, and to start the theme of Death and the grave.
Far mightier than any sword
"The pen is mightier than the sword" was the inspiration for this. The World's Grave could be considered a metaphorical pen because it records everything the Hive know about Earth.
I am the vessel of the Queen of Armies.
The Queen of Armies was a term Toland used to describe the Darkness. While I partially used this to emphasize that the answer was a force of evil, I also wanted to make some people think Mara Sov if they didn't have a good grasp of Grimoire. :)
The tip of the spear, and the all knowing eye.
The World's Grave is the tip of the spear in the sense that it is houses the Hive's plan of attack against Earth; all attack efforts will stem from this knowledge. It is also the "all knowing eye" because it is constantly observing and recording Earth.
I lay asleep, always working.
The World's Grave, if it has exceeded the Beckenstein Bound, is used to describe everything about Earth on a Quantum level. It is also recording and/or predicting what is occurring on Earth, thus it is always working. But to access this knowledge, it requires a key. So the World's Grave is asleep until someone wakes it.
My body lies in the city which at first appears to have been built before the Golden Age.
This one was pretty evil of me...
When most people read this, I imagine they thought of the Golden Age of the Traveler. What I meant in this riddle was the Renaissance, which occurred near the 17th Century. The city is the "Necropolis" Ghost said during the "World's Grave" mission. Hive architecture is definitely appropriated from Gothic cathedrals. These types of cathedrals were built centuries before the Renaissance.
But everything is relatively new.
This one is pretty obvious. Compared to Gothic cathedrals, the Hive underground burrows are relatively new.
You still know not my name? Fool. The Hindus knew of my coming a millennia ago. Now I am become Death.
This one is kind of complex. There is a book in Hindu scripture called the Bhagavad-Gita, and in that book is a famous quote popularized Robert Oppenheimer: "Now I am become Death; Destroyer of Worlds". The World's Grave is symbolic of the Hive's plan to take over/ destroy Earth.
Perhaps in our last meeting you had made me vulnerable
Your Guardian exposes the World's Grave information in the "World's Grave" mission ( surprising, I know...). Another way to describe the release of information is to make certain knowledge vulnerable.
but still I remain defiant to your sphere. Notice the death which it reeks of?
The sphere in this sense can be understood to be the Earth. The death Earth reeks of is the death of everyone lost in the Dark age. Some might have been quick to jump to the Traveler, and I admit I made it ambiguous intentionally.
That was my master's doing! And now I come for the rest.
In the Second mission, "Restoration", we hear from Ghost that the Hive haven't been seen on Earth in centuries. This leads me to believe that the Hive killed many Humans on Earth centuries ago. And now the Hive are making another effort to invade Earth (which we hear at the end of the mission)
I am the book of your end, bound in stone.
Keeps knowledge, built in stone. Pretty simple.
I am the tome of the tomb, my purpose to have you join us.
The Hive are often compared to corpses. A Tome is another type of book, one of fairly large size. The World's Grave is built in a "Necropolis", keeps information, and is meant to make the plan to take over Earth.
I am the tip of a spear carved from ash, it's point is sculpted in seeds.
Again, Tip of the Spear analogy. When the Hive die, they turn into ash. The first part of the plan is to use Seeders to infiltrate Earth.
You may know the needle, but you do not know the shape that comes after.
Atheon anyone? Yes, I know it was a Red Herring, but I had given enough information at this point that I felt like I could be a little misleading. No one knows the rest of the Hive's plan, just that there is one.
But you will. Soon.
Ominous Death Threat? Check.
I have said my name is Death, but more fittingly it would be Extinction
Implies mass death.
I am the Reaper of your sphere and the dirt it will be buried in
The World's Grave will be the cause of death, and there is a literal comparison between it's name and the dirt of a grave.
My wicked will and plan takes shape in Seeds and Swords, in Cleavers and Needles. The last thing you will hear is the Boom made by my design.
All of these are reference to Hive tools: Seeders, Cleavers, Boomers, etc.
