That makes no sense given that he could have done more by staying up top and doing constant damage to the boss, making it go faster and there was no "participating with them" when they hid in a corner to let him do all the work.

in theory, up to that point, the statement was true. of course in hind-sight they didnt do it for the right reasons. besides, you could do constant damage to the boss down below, and then some. I do just that as my hunter with IB.
