Booted a guy at Treasure Room, no regrets.
[b][u]Before anyone gets all salty and abuses me in the comments, have a good read.[/b][/u]
So last night a friend and I were going to dive into a level 34 PoE, and as per usual we go LFG to get a third Guardian to help us.
For anonymity's sake we're going to call this guy "SuperScrub". SuperScrub replied saying he was, and I quote; "Highly skilled, all exotics, maxed Gally."
Naturally my friend invites him and we get on our way. The problems start here.
He joins and he's a 33 Warlock. No problem, my friend is 33 and I'm 34, no issues here. Skill is key.
When my friend and I are jumping around, blasting the heck out of Vex and this guy is just standing in a corner of the room, not doing anything. Of course, he dies. We both then get messages from this guy. Weird, right? It gets better. He's typed up some long ass message basically saying "Join my clan PLS IT'S SO GOOD."
My friend is the founder of his clan, and I the admin of mine, so we kindly decline this and keep playing.
Only he doesn't do anything. Every room, he just stands still, dies, pops his Fireborn, and dies again. The epitome of skill.
Through much pain and suffering, my friend and I manage to get to the end, punch Gulrot in his ganky face and get praised by Variks. The dude of course is magically active now, as the sweet prospect of rewards is dangled in front of him. My friend and I sail down to the bottom and wait.
The second he touches down, we both wave, and I kick him.
I don't reward Leeches.
TL;DR : SuperrScrub LFG leech got booted at Treasure Room for leeching.

Well the kid deserved it. Sure you could of kicked him sooner but I think it was a good lesson for him. Someone that doesn't contribute to the fight doesn't earn a damn think.

It sounds as if you just kept him around to be boot him at the end. The guy lacked skill and was dishonest about his abilities, yeah, but if you didn't feel like carrying him just boot him in the beggining. The guy would have found a fireteam that'd be happy for carry him through a 34 POE. Patrol is more difficult.

Then you would've either a) completed it faster and with less trouble or b) weeded out a scrub early instead of using him as insurance throughout the poe. 3 is always better than 2, so by some standard, he did help you. You were just spineless and immature.

I dont use lfg, always play with my friends that i made in destiny. But with all these so called elitists on lfg, i can understand why people are lying to get in a group! I also understand why you weren't happy with him, but in my opinion you're the bad guy in the situation. If it was really as bad as you say it was, then you could've kicked him after the first round. You should've let the dude get his rewards!

8 RepliesI disagree with you. He may not have been highly skilled, but he was still there doing what he could. You have NO RIGHT to kick someone from rewards like that. Bungie, please fix this. Make it so that no-one can be booted during the rewards portion of PoE. That's just way too much power. Guys like this think they're God for Christ sake.

4 RepliesHonestly man you could've asked him why he's doing that? You said he dies a lot and sits in a corner. Sounds like he's trying to survive to me. Maybe he doesn't know what he's doing? Maybe he doesn't know your tactic in that arena? A lot of people get kicked cause they don't know what they're doing and they have no one to show them. Don't be fooled when you see a 34, that's easily achievable. Bottom line is, communication is the key. He should've told you, you should've asked etc. But bragging about it in the forum is not a nice thing to do.
