Before anyone gets all salty and abuses me in the comments, have a good read.
So last night a friend and I were going to dive into a level 34 PoE, and as per usual we go LFG to get a third Guardian to help us.
For anonymity's sake we're going to call this guy "SuperScrub". SuperScrub replied saying he was, and I quote; "Highly skilled, all exotics, maxed Gally."
Naturally my friend invites him and we get on our way. The problems start here.
He joins and he's a 33 Warlock. No problem, my friend is 33 and I'm 34, no issues here. Skill is key.
When my friend and I are jumping around, blasting the heck out of Vex and this guy is just standing in a corner of the room, not doing anything. Of course, he dies. We both then get messages from this guy. Weird, right? It gets better. He's typed up some long ass message basically saying "Join my clan PLS IT'S SO GOOD."
My friend is the founder of his clan, and I the admin of mine, so we kindly decline this and keep playing.
Only he doesn't do anything. Every room, he just stands still, dies, pops his Fireborn, and dies again. The epitome of skill.
Through much pain and suffering, my friend and I manage to get to the end, punch Gulrot in his ganky face and get praised by Variks. The dude of course is magically active now, as the sweet prospect of rewards is dangled in front of him. My friend and I sail down to the bottom and wait.
The second he touches down, we both wave, and I kick him.
I don't reward Leeches.
TL;DR : SuperrScrub LFG leech got booted at Treasure Room for leeching.

I'm not normally into this but after reading the post it looked like brony didn't bring a single thing to the table, so by all means... Never kicked someone for that reason or had that experience with lfg though.
-
I don't get it. I understand but just don't get it. (Shakes head, and sips hard liquor)
-
You should have kicked him the first time he went afk.......
-
i join games just to try and destroy game get my team killed i than message them saying they are bad at the game lots of fun you should try it
-
What's worse is when a guy joins you and your friend saying he's highly skilled, but sucks, keeps dying, and drags us down with him while we are doing good. That's not the worst part. He messaged both of us saying WE sucked and reported us. WOW
-
I kick people regardless of what they did. They might not deserve it, but the h8 mail is delicious.
-
Niceeee
-
so wait, you both run clans but you have to use LFG? sounds like some pretty rough clans....
-
It would have made more sense to just kick him and bring someone who is actually going to do some work in. Or just two man it.
-
As much I don't like people doing this... That guy had the kick coming.
Only he doesn't do anything. Every room, he just stands still, dies, pops his Fireborn, and dies again. The epitome of skill. Through much pain and suffering, my friend and I manage to get to the end...
So let me get this straight. Instead of kicking him as soon as it was obvious he wasn't going to be any help you proceed to endure "much pain and suffering" by essentially running it with 2 people, and then you kick him at the treasure room because it made you feel better about your own dumbass decision to let him continue to stay instead of replacing him with a productive team member? That's called biting off your nose to spite your face. You look as stupid as "SuperScrub", so congratulations, jackass.
-
Did you at least report him in game? You didn't prove anything unless you notified bungie that he's a loser
-
SAD It's not hard to get overwhelmed as a 33 in the 34. Fighting in a corner is a common strategy, but being there alone is kinda doomed. Sounds like you all might have been in the same area for the final boss fight, so you maybe got to see what he had been trying to do over in the corner alone. Maybe you jumped to the conclusion because he wasn't taking more risk by running all over the map. BTW… you never mention if he posted any kills, killed any mines, etc. I'm guessing he probably did some of both and in no way deserved to be kicked.

Edited by Roe Larry: 8/21/2015 5:11:24 PMWhy put yourself through all that? Just boot him after the 1st round and move on.
-
Please tell us his name. You taught him a lesson there, but I'd put money on him having done that before and doing so again. He needs shamed.
-
I would have kicked him sooner but that is hilarious.

Edited by Rek: 8/21/2015 4:59:13 PMLol couldn't help but think of this.

he deserves it. ive done it at skolas. guy wouldnt co operate. had to burn him down with everything me and bro had. supers throwing knives rockets snipers fusion rifles thorn rounds. got him killed in a minute. taint passed once. both sets of mines dismantled. booted his ass before skolas died. aint no leech getting an elder cipher or anything else in my team.
-
Now that, is funny!
-
I wish there was a video Montage to go with this awesome story. Gj :)
-
No problem with this. Although maybe shoulda done earlier on
-
Just asking about the link given for stats, exactly how does that prove he kicked abused?
-
I think there's a warlock in the bathroom.
-
That sounds fair to me. you should atleast help the team out and not just stand there and die o.O
-
In truth, you should have given him a warning after the first incident, and then booted him after the second (2nd Round). This IS what my Clan does. We then report the individual to Bungie. The problem with how you handled it, isn't that you booted him, but WHEN. By booting him at the reward locale, it does nothing but make YOU look like an ass. In the future, set your rules at the beginning. Advise the LFG Guardian that if they don't participate they will be booted. This will save you from getting under Bungie's ban hammer.

You could have easily kicked him early on when you first noticed him being inactive/unhelpful and could have found someone else. Instead you chose to act immature and also decided to post this story on the forums looking for some sort of praise from the community. Grow up.
