I Can't Be the Only One
I can only hope there are others like me.
I preordered TTK, knowing it will be great fun. Played since day one, all previous DLCs, still loving it. I watched the stream, didn't hate any of it. Glad of the new stuff they are putting in. Year 1 gear "useless"? Couldn't give a flying fig. There are more things to attach to my glorious body out there, not to mention we can just break 'em down. Gjallarhorn rendered supposedly (according to forum flailers) pointless? Oh look, another flying fig. It's just a gun. I spent 200+ hours just looking for this gun before I got it randomly from a Nightfall.There might be something better on the way, even if they bring Gjallarhorn to par stat-wise. All this hate about having to re-level our exotics? Who cares, do it while you play the content. Bungie shouldn't have to spoon feed every exotic back to you fully upgraded. Work out those trigger fingers some more. I can say that I am glad I get to do that. I'll revisit all those exotics I neglected (*cough*Plan C*cough*) and maybe they will work their charms and it'll be my new go-to for shattering everything from those fidgety Hunters to the Hive.
I can say with certainty that I'm excited for TTK, and I'm [i]sure[/i] I'm not the only one. Let me hear it, Guardians...
Edit 1: C'mon Guardians, let's get this going. People (and Bungie) need to know how the majority stand.
Edit 2: All these awesome Guardians, and not a single hater to spoil it. This is what I like to see. (Knock on wood)
Edit 3: This thread is just taking off. I can't wait to see the love after the next two Twitch streams. I'm glad to know that there are at least this many people who love this game and for years onward hopefully. Keep on keeping on. Oh, and before I forget: some of you probably know me, but for those you who don't, you can call me Spaz. That's what everyone calls me. At least, I think they mean it as a name.....

The year 2 one instantly had the main perk form the year 1 applied by default. So it starts out where the old one left off doesn't it? What's more, assuming you do have to grind to upgrade new exotics, you have people on the one hand saying "if I start at 34 then I only have 6 levels to reach 40 - it's not enough incentive to grind - not enough "play" value" while you have others maybe saying "so I'm going to have to grind to upgrade ny new level exotics"? Well you can't have it both ways. Either you do want an incentive to actually grind bounties/strikes/missions/whatever or you don't.

1 ReplyIts nice to see a mature positive post about TTK. I agree with everything in your post. I was very impressed with the reveal. There some major quality of improvements which I think people are overlooking. Merging crucible and vangaurd marks. Allowing all characters to share marks and removing the weekly cap (your still only hold 200 at a time but Im okay with that). The fact that you will earn crucible or vangaurd rep at the same time as faction rep is huge and will make a massive difference. Being able to turn in bounties without going to the tower. Also I personally couldn't care less about no ghorn in year 2. Some people are way to attached to that weapon (someone should tell them its not real)!

4 RepliesTotally agree. Pixels in a video game hold no sentimental value for me. And the first of three reveals was very informative given the hour they had. And they kept it fun. I like what I saw as far as changes and new weapons. Can't wait for TTK.

1 ReplyI loved everything I've seen from TTK so far. All the variety, knowing what reward types you get from running this or that specific mission... Also, I'm looking forward to trying all these new weapons! I'll probably keep a few things stashed in the new larger vault, for sentimental value. But I don't have any problem leaving stuff behind. I dismantle way more than I keep. I wish we could start TTK today!

1 ReplyI agree 100%. I could care less about Year 1 weapons, they have had their fair share of usage, and in Year 3, I will gladly replace everything I obtained from Year 2. Out with the old, and in with the new.
