I Can't Be the Only One
I can only hope there are others like me.
I preordered TTK, knowing it will be great fun. Played since day one, all previous DLCs, still loving it. I watched the stream, didn't hate any of it. Glad of the new stuff they are putting in. Year 1 gear "useless"? Couldn't give a flying fig. There are more things to attach to my glorious body out there, not to mention we can just break 'em down. Gjallarhorn rendered supposedly (according to forum flailers) pointless? Oh look, another flying fig. It's just a gun. I spent 200+ hours just looking for this gun before I got it randomly from a Nightfall.There might be something better on the way, even if they bring Gjallarhorn to par stat-wise. All this hate about having to re-level our exotics? Who cares, do it while you play the content. Bungie shouldn't have to spoon feed every exotic back to you fully upgraded. Work out those trigger fingers some more. I can say that I am glad I get to do that. I'll revisit all those exotics I neglected (*cough*Plan C*cough*) and maybe they will work their charms and it'll be my new go-to for shattering everything from those fidgety Hunters to the Hive.
I can say with certainty that I'm excited for TTK, and I'm [i]sure[/i] I'm not the only one. Let me hear it, Guardians...
Edit 1: C'mon Guardians, let's get this going. People (and Bungie) need to know how the majority stand.
Edit 2: All these awesome Guardians, and not a single hater to spoil it. This is what I like to see. (Knock on wood)
Edit 3: This thread is just taking off. I can't wait to see the love after the next two Twitch streams. I'm glad to know that there are at least this many people who love this game and for years onward hopefully. Keep on keeping on. Oh, and before I forget: some of you probably know me, but for those you who don't, you can call me Spaz. That's what everyone calls me. At least, I think they mean it as a name.....

Looking forward to it! This game got me back playing PvP again after a LONG haitus. No plans to give it up now.

The thing people don't understand with "re-leveling" their exotic is that they still have access to their fully upgraded one while they STILL get the best perk on the year 2 version but need to upgrade the remaining new perks.

1 ReplyYour right guns should need to be leveled up by ourself playing the content and not given out by Bungie. It is great that they are leveling some Year 1 exotics up to TTK levels.

1 ReplyI've yet to see a video or read about the taken king and not get excited, everything being revealed is absolutely awesome and I can't wait to be one of the few people to get level 40 very quickly as grinding isn't a problem and never will be when it comes to this game :)

1 Reply100% agree. I refuse to be a crybaby who thinks the time they spent in year 1 was wasted...i loved it! Of course there have been issues, but you gotta move on and stop saying "that shouls have been in vanilla destiny". You can say that about any DLC for any game. Doesnt make it true. Destiny is just getting better and better. Games dont normally do that.

1 ReplyDestiny year 1 was a base for bungie to look back on and see what imrovements can be made for when ttk drops and to be honest i think we can safely say they pretty much hit the nail on the head withaa ttk..so much new content..missions..new bounties..quests..new raid and more..im very hyped for ttk

I'm excited about the change to bounties. I hate the current bounties. All I do is crucible ones anymore and walk into crucible with u leveled guns to beef them up.

2 RepliesI still haven't completely leveled the plan c that I had drop from a nightfall months ago, but it's in my vault, which I am stoked that it gets doubled! What will be nice is the fact that thorn is going to hopefully go by the wayside in the crucible. I am excited about a lot of the new weapons that they are bringing out, and I want to get my hands on some of those new ships they are showing.

I've been playing since day 1 as well and in my opinion this game did live up to the hype because it has provided me with this amazing community and unforgettable experiences that no other game ever has. So yes I say bring on year 2 and let us smash down the enemies of the light yet again!

1 ReplyI haven't pre-ordered TTK, though I will more than likely buy it on release, and still enjoy playing Destiny (though I do play it less than I used to). I haven't really bother watching the streams or reading all the hype as I'll find out what TTK has in store for me either on release or when/if I buy it. The lack of any form of in-game optional MM/LFG for end game content is the main reason why my interest is waning as I'm fed up of paying for content and not being able to access it unless I'm prepared to go through the unneeded rigmarole of leaving the game to go to a website to then have to wait for 5-30 minutes to find people before I'm actually able to play. At no point when I have LFG'd, and finished the content, have I ever thought afterwards "that would've been impossible via MM" and I'm getting tired of not just being able to play whatever content I want, whenever I want without having to waste time finding people to play with.

1 ReplyActually super happy that BOTH the almighty Gjallarhorn and the f*cking Thorn are being left behind for now!!! That alone should shake things up in the meta and give other weapons some long overdue time in the limelight! Destiny desperately needs new blood, I say it's high time we let new legends rise and give long neglected workhorses a shot at stardom!
