Before I start, apologies if I have trouble being clear with this topic, I'm not used to using help forums.
I bought Destiny for PS4 while the console was on loan to me from my brother who was on holiday. Now that he's come back, he wants me to return it. I've only recently finished all of the story missions and still have a lot I want to do in the game, but if I return the console I won't be able to continue playing. I only own a PS3, and PSN has never really liked my credit card, nor do I have much money to spend (currently working off a loan due to a recent insurance excess). I also don't want to go out and buy a used copy of the PS3 version, as I bought the Digital Guardian Edition and don't want to lose my pass for the upcoming expansions.
So when it comes down to it, my question is simply: Can I downgrade? I don't mean in the sense of getting access to the PS3 version for free, but rather if I could have my digital PS4 copy returned and traded for a PS3 copy that comes with the expansion pass I bought it with. It would be really helpful if I could get any insight into this, because I really don't want to give up on playing now that I've finally reached the endgame.

Edited by Metni: 8/17/2015 2:09:24 AMHey Ryan - I really hate to bear the bad news, but Destiny does not support backward-compatible transfers for DLC. If it really boiled down to it, you would have to contact the retailer you have purchased the Digital Guardian Edition from and see if you may have them exchange it. But as far as downgrading goes, it simply isn't supported and only the first two expansions will upgrade to new-gen free of charge. Doesn't work backwards, sorry about that! https://www.bungie.net/en/help/article/12122
