How did you "earn" YOUR Gjallarhorn?
I don't think I need to tell anybody that there's been a lot of salt thrown around recently by folks lamenting the fact that they had to "earn" their Haller Haller Get Gjaller, and now anybody can just buy one.
The thing is though, by definition, if anybody that had one from a drop did actually earn it, they did so only by running the one activity that granted them the drop (and by extension getting to whatever level let them run that activity). That could have been the very first thing they had ever run that could grant you an exotic, and they'd have landed on the Jellyhorn. Nothing else affected the chances, and any belief to the contrary illustrates the Gambler's Fallacy.
That led me to thinking, what did those of us who got Ballerhorn in a drop [i]really[/i] do to "earn" the (until recently) rarest of guns?
So without further ado, I'd like to be the first to recount the legendary tale of how I "earned" my GGhorn.

tl;dr ITT share stories of any low effort "feats" you accomplished that gave you a Gjallarhorn drop, demonstrating the lack of a correlation between effort and reward, thus disproving that RNG counts as "earning" any more than Xûr does.

Edit 2: It occurs to me that in the original post I failed to mention the fact that for some, their YOLOhorn dropped after a particularly difficult feat, such that they really do feel that they earned theirs. My point is not to lessen the sense of accomplishment anyone felt after acquiring their Yellerhorn, but rather to highlight the fact that due to RNG, many of us "earned" ours in really easy/silly ways, and to invite the people who are sad/angry/disappointed at everyone's favorite Splatoon cosplayer to think about whether RNG really qualifies as earning something.

Warlock and Hunter both got it from Omnigul nightfall (4 months apart)- Hunter then gave his as a gift to the Titan Hunter just bought another from Xur to replace that one

I bought mine the first time Xur sold it, and I only bought it because all my friends had found exotic weapons and I was jelly, but back then I didn't even know how good it was so after buying it I stuck it in my vault for about 3-5 months in till everyone was telling me they really wanted that weapon... I was like that weapon is shit I'd rather use my Monte Carlo... That's my Ghorn story, as of right now I have 6 of them 1 was bought the other 5 I got through raids and nightfall and one through legendary engram.

I'd argue that the only way to "earn" it is by buying it if you got it from rng you did not have to put anything into it (besides a mission you were trying to complete anyway) so by spending the strange coins I have [i][u][b]earned[/b][/u][/i] I got gigglehorn

I earned mine from nightfall lol valus taarc uhh no burns back then when he was a bullet sponge then next one was thru vog chest but funny thing was I goofing around in the templar area exploring while all my teamates were opening the chest so I had to go down took me a minute or two lol once I got to the cchest I was tthe last one nd no one got anything except energy nd shards so when I opened it I got gjally lol everyone was punching me nd yeah lol throwing grenades nd atuff nd third one ehh I just bought it lol I have everytging in destiny now I'm just leveling up gear nd weapons till I get the special perk nd after that I'm just chilling :D

I got my first for standing on a ledge while someone hit crota with a sword. My second from Poe 28 chest as first run through on that character guaranteed exotic and bought my third with strange coins earned by playing the game. It's great that it's been sold for the second time and it was gonna happen eventually.

I got it out of a VoG chest, by accident, and I was lousy on that run too. Wasn't earned. Just lucky, like every other thing that is random.

1st From a drop in 12/15.....other 2 purchased yesterday with coins that I earned.

First one was from a Rainbow Burn Nightfall during TDB, it was Archon Priest and I literally threw my controller at my wall. Second was from Deathsinger literally minutes after I finished 331 my first one. Third and last because I only need 3 was from the Solar burn Valus nightfall.
