And that begs the question, what's the point of playing at all? I want to use more than just exotics, legendaries have the potential to be truly unique

Not to mention they are "Legendary" but at the end of the day they don't feel all that important. I mean Raid weapons and armor too? They are just as hard if not more difficult to get than Exotics, but yet they don't get to continue ascending while Exotics do?

I agree, it's pretty ridiculous and really frustrating. This wouldn't be a problem if they did-away with the 10 year plan. If they didn't have that, then the weapons would be obsolete to begin with.
