Edited by RED4409: 8/14/2015 3:54:58 AMRepublican days are numbered. Thats why obama wants to legalise all the illegals living in the US. They tend to be poor, and poor people vote democrat.
-
Lol Obama isn't gonna legalize immigrants. Republicans say that every election about whoever the Democrat is. American politics is so fake, it's like wrestling and all you fools eat it up. "He's a democrat, he's an idiot!" "He's a republican, he's greedy!" Cool, now you don't have to listen to each other and can bicker about stupid shot while both corporate parties screw us over even more......
-
You may have a point, but the way you put it sounds immature and lessens the strength of it. Americans politics are very much flawed in several ways, to the point that most people barely understand it and just blindly follow what they see on television or read. I'm only 18 but have made it a goal of mine to understand the politics of my home (however flawed), and hopefully more people educate them selves so they can understand the many issues, and maybe if enough people do, some things can change (although I sadly doubt it will ever happen).

Edited by Catty_Wampus22: 8/14/2015 6:22:31 AMIt's how it is. People adopt a team mentality and blindly support that te no matter what. It doesn't matter how much they are lied to, how many empty promises they are given (even when it's obvious they never intended to follow through), no matter how many times their team contradicts itself they will alway give their team a free pass. And anyone who supports the other team is a -blam!-ing idiot so we don't even need to listen to them or their ideas or try and work together because only a -blam!-ing moron would support that other team!!!! Don't believe me start a thread called "I'm a Democrat (or Republican) AMA" and I bet you will see the ignorance explode. It's how they want it. Keep us bickering with each other over trivial shit and refusing get to listen to one another. Republican politicians don't really believe Obama is a socialist or cpmmunist, they know he's a corporate whore just like them but their base eats it up just like the democratic base eats up that republicans are war mongers even though Obama bombed more countries than bush and only strengthened his policies. But that's what the Democrats do, they complain about what the Republicans fo but when it's time to vote they fall right in line with the rest of them.
-
God forbid they be allowed to support the party that will give them a better standard of living.
-
Yes, that's the answer, give federal money to illegal immigrants who DON'T PAY TAXES. And you all still wonder why our economy is shit.
-
How do you feel about giving get federal tax money to multi million/billion $ corporations who pay NO taxes? Why does no one call them welfare queens?
-
Cause that has being going on for years. The illegal immigrant issue got worse when Obama gave them free healthcare. He's lucky his term is almost over, he can only out run a noose for so long.
-
Can you cite a source, please?
-
Wait, what? Since when did welfare and foodstamps become a good standard of living.
-
Since people's standards of living have dropped.
-
You're close, but it's their personal standards and lack of work ethic. Welfare is the modern equivalent of slavery.
-
It is. The current law and education standards aren't helping either. There's a fair amount of problems leading to what could be called modern slavery (I.e. Minimum wage labor and welfare).
-
Once they are citizens they will be free to vote for whom ever they like. Im just pointing out how well it plays to the democrats advantage. I dont care anyway i dont even live in the US.
-
Obama is leaving office soon, and although he may be trying to legalize immigrants, with the current republican majority control in the other two branches it's next to impossible. To be honest it doesn't matter, cause after he steps down the front runners for the Republican and democratic parties are Trump and Clinton, and I would rather have my dog run the executive branch then those two. The only hope the Democratic Party has is if Clinton is elected so they can at least slow the republicans down (so they don't control all three branches), but like I said I don't want her elected (even though I tend to lean towards democratic views).
-
Sanders would be a better democrat (fully imo), however I feel trump would benefit the nation financially. He may be a complete asshole but the man has business sense. Fact remains trump looks good now because all the politicians look Bad.
-
True, Trump is clearly a sound business man and has proven it many times. Although he may help the economy and our ever growing debt (if you have a child today he will owe over $50,000 at birth!), I think he would ruin a lot of our foreign relations, seeing as so many countries have already expressed bad feelings for him. The only small hope I have for him is that he used to have some good views of things in the past (some very democratic), and hopefully only changed to a very republican heavy one to gain publicity and followers for the election but will go to a more equal ground if elected. Like you said it also helps that people like Jeb Bush (who is second to Trump) and other candidates are complete incompetent morons who have no idea what they are doing.
-
That's the biggest problem. Obama has been too focused on doing things to please other countries instead of fixing the problems here.
-
So true. I personally think we should just pullout everyone from all these foreign countries (like Iran), and although it may be considered outdated in ways, adapt a more isolationistic format, and focus on the many issues we have here (like instead of spending money on nuclear deals that we get next to nothing out of, use to help maybe fix the debt we are drowning in).
-
Complete withdrawal would be far more disastrous than you think.
-
I only mean from places where it's not completely necessary (my fault for over exaggerating). I just believe that America focuses way too much on making the world a better place in its mind and getting too involved in foreign affairs, which all it is doing is creating enemies and using resources.
-
As long as groups like ISIS choose to murder innocent civilians, the US will be there to strike back, especially since no other country is willing.
-
But keep in mind a organization like ISIS was partly founded or at least focused on America, by our constant intervention in foreign affairs. We have created so many enemies because of our activity, and in my opinion, after the U.S. takes care of ISIS and wipes them out, we should back out for a while and focus on ourselves to try and avoid a repeat again.
