Literally no one. It means nothing. It's a title. Get over yourself and stop thinking you deserve things more than other people.
(I'm a day one player and it means nothing to me.)
Edit: You're not entitled to free items just because you bought the game before other people. So stop making petitions galore for them. Grow up.
Edit 2: By year 1 I mean "vets" as they call themselves. Also known as the people who think they're entitled to free stuff.
Edit 3: Most Year 1 Guardians don't know how to read edits.
Edit 4: They're still figuring out how to read, maybe one day.
Edit 5: Nearly 400 replies of pure salt. I feel like the Dead Sea.
Edit 6: Nearing 500 replies. Titans had to put up a new wall around the Dead Sea to contain all the salt water.
Edit 7: At 700 replies the Dead Sea salt levels are beginning to drop. Several life forms with the inability to read have been found in the Sea. The Titans have decreased the amount of control on the Sea.
Edit 8: 800 replies and Guardians still haven't read the tags. What a sad time it is.
Edit 9: At 950 replies the salt is beginning to corrupt the hearts of those who reply. Some keep the light strong in themselves and are able to resist it. However, others have fallen victim to it. Those who have fallen now search for anything to try and be correct. The Titans have now put the city on lockdown. More information later on.
Edit 10: This post has been necrobump'd. The Salt has nearly taken control over everyone, fight back, Guardians.

Edited by Vexillol0gy: 8/13/2015 5:57:04 AMI'm pretty proud that I'm a day one vet player :)
-
Beta! That means something. Lol
-
Well, you can't say "literally no one", they themselves care, so that does make someone that cares, but yes, by all means continue this rant of justice and the righteous extinguishment of elitism.
-
Being a day one veteran myself i would trust another day one veteran over anything else without a doubt so i guess that counts for something.
-
My mom cares
-
Nah but ppl care about 3 of one class for no reason
I'm ready for the comments <><
-
Fgt =D
-
Where did mr longface go?
-
I care I'm a vet :D
-
Beta vet here ;)
-
Thank you it doesn't -blam!-ing matter. I played every cod day one up until mw3 and I didn't get anything special. What's the big deal about destiny.
-
I'm a beta vet, not day one. But I could care less.
-
Eh it's nice to be called that but nothing really special. It's like me had my account before destiny even launched and sometimes its nice to see other halo people and stuff but not a huge deal.
-
I care that I'm a day one vet
-
I bought the game in release, but didn't open it for a few weeks because I was still into Madden. Can I be a vet?
-
If it weren't for us whining and bitching about broken shit and stuff that had to be done nothing would've changed between vanilla Destiny to present day, plus we get to tell amazing stories of awesome past experiences that new players simply can't say they've done It's like being a vet in the army VS being new to the army I still say vets should be rewarded in one way or another (Bungie always did in the past)
-
I'm proud to call myself a day one Destiny player, do I go around asking for special treatment? no, do I ask for handouts? No. I sure wouldn't use the term vet! I've always been a Bungie fan, since the 90s, not solely a Destiny fan. Would it be cool to have something to show others that I'm committed to a quality product and have followed them for 20 some years? Sure! You see this stuff just about anywhere it's called a loyalty program, you will see this with lots of businesses. I think the game is focused on simply killing, which for FPS is fun, but I'd like to see support classes to shake things up as my k/d is lame-o. I'll still play regardless!
-
I care day one vets got to watch each other's backs
-
I'm a day six Vet what do I get?
-
Your a straight up dumbass, and a hater that your not a year one vet(probably have no ghorn thats why) :/
-
I've never said I deserve something for being a Beater (stole that from SAO) but I am proud of my title.
-
We might not "Deserve" anything, but when items we can't even have access too are given to new players for the collectors edition, who haven't helped shape the game yet, makes me salty.
-
I call myself a 'Veteran'. I'm a player from Alpha/Beta, have the Emblems as well (Sigil of the Founder's & Sign of the Elder's), and even have a trophy weapon; The Supremacy. I agree with some of your post, mostly the parts about other 'Veterans' thinking they're entitled to a bunch of free crap just for being here from the "beginning", which is a relative term for most of these 'Veterans'. I have my Emblems, my Weapon and my Jackolytes/Flight of Shadows to prove my Veteranship, and even then I don't make a big deal about it. It's just some special snowflake stuff.

Bump if you think OP is mentally handicapped.

I know, some never mention it or announce it. What does it matter and who gives a toss? Not me.
