The nerf comes w TTK. Legendaries can't be ascended making BH obsolete w TTK. Why did Bungie bother w this gun at all? Makes no sense unless raid weapons can be ascended. The amount of players running low level raids and content are going to be a small percentage if the playerbase. Why waste the time on tweaking the BH? Oh, that's right, because dedicated pvp servers aren't a higher priority. Fixing a soon to be obsolete gun is a much higher priority. We're gonna get 400 dmg snipers in TTK. Who's going to keep using a 331 BH? Or even a 365 BH if ascended? Who even needs EL for any weapons anymore when there's no point to ascend anything you haven't already? The no ascension news basically killed any reason to do anything other than pvp for fun, or chase grimoire. They ended HoW replay with one statement. They buried it dead. I bet their HoW content play numbers/stats look like total shit.

Well unlimited ammo with a 365 BH is shredding some bosses/enemies regardless of not having a 400 attack rating. Yeah, it may take a bit longer, but it's easy nonetheless. Also keep in mind that 300 fatebringer was still being used in TDB, even with lower attack value it was a beast and better than the 331 hand cannons.

I think that there must be some new content in TTK that even with a underpowered BH, fireteams would be able to sit back and crush w it. I can see that as a solid reason. Which raises the question, why not build content that counteracts the gun's abilities? Because its much easier to just nerf it. For the record, I have no problem leaving my legendaries behind. I just don't see why they bothered unless there is very specific content in TTK that the BH will continue to destroy even at 331/365

Edited by Marten219: 8/12/2015 1:33:48 PMI agree, new bosses that arent just big bullet sponges would be the best solution. Or adjust the old strikes and get rid of the spots that allow to cheese with BH.

Right, like spawn adds right at cheese spots. They do it to us in PoE by teleporting us for sticking around too long in one spot/area. They could come up with creative fun solutions to make things challenging, but they for the most part don't. Again, I don't care about the nerf at all, to me, it's just a sign of more of the same bullet sponges in TTK. Hopefully learning the puzzles/mechanics will be a fun experience. Then teaching others. Seeing new areas, triggering boss battles, it'll be good. I certainly like the quest driven model of HoW for its story missions. It helped provide a more cohesive progression through the DLC. Specific and purpose based missions.
