Personally I find them more useful. Tbh these guys shouldn't be respawning too often so to have that grenade charge is kinda pointless when a high discipline will give you a grenade every 30 seconds basically

they don't die if they play control against normal people. but in sweaties they barely go above 1.0, and sometimes go negative. not to mention that is trials the rounds are super short. you get that nade every round, plus every round you get revived you can pop right up with it.
