So I made a thing, an API helper that will eventually (hopefully, assuming I don't lose interest) become a object explorer.
Right now for 1.0 it does three things for Xbox Live accounts:
Pulls the current manifest file locally. (intended for later use.)
Shows your membershipId
Shows your destinyMembershipId
I would really like to work on the Playstation private endpoint functionality, but I can't as I don't have a Playstation. See the link's readme if you'd like to help with that aspect.
Initially this started out as a "do I play Destiny today?" project, where I would scrape the API to see if there were any bounties, events, or stuff from vendors I wanted to buy, which would then determine if I really wanted to play at any given time.
What it is evolving into is an API helper and object explorer. I could not figure out how to utilise the API at all as there are almost zero instructions on how to find your various UUIDs (membershipId, destinyMembershipId, characterId, etc.), so right now it only does that. Once I get some of that added into the mix, I am going to (assuming I don't lose interest) start parsing through the sqlite flat file (the Destiny object manifest) and create basically an "object explorer". Hopefully that will mean that you can pass a hash and it will return with all the details of said hash. Or vice versa, where you enter the object's friendly name (Icebreaker, "Scout Rifle", etc.), and then it will return all the hashes and/or the JSON for said object.
I know it's a super simple tool right now, but it's actively being worked on as the plan is for it to still eventually evolve into the "do I play Destiny today?" application. I'm just going to work on the object exploration first as that will help me the most, and also people new to the API since I struggled a fair bit to find some of this information.

Very nice! Looking forward to seeing it as you continue the effort!
