they are makign them good weapons. jsut like your lvl 20 weapon was better then your lvl 10.
that is not bad practice for a game that is standard operating procedures for games with levels. this is not cod, we have level based progression. lower level weapons always become obsolete when you gain levels. it works this way in every single level based game I've ever played, and I've played alot.

Edited by Sherpa: 8/5/2015 9:09:30 PMI know it's not CoD making old weapons obsolete does NOT make the new ones good. They need to make good quality weapons (like how VoG weapons were) that are showing that as we get higher level guns get better as well Guns need to get more powerful as we do. Not weaker (example Crota and HoW are terrible in terms of stats and perks when out against VoG guns) I'm not referring gun damage levels but the stats and perks
-
if it does not make new weapons good then keep using your old weapons. hell the most stable AR in the game was the starting gun. you should go back to using that. me? I'll be using the better weapons.
-
Edited by Sherpa: 8/5/2015 9:48:31 PMBetter in terms of damage cap? Yes they are Better in terms of stats and perks? No
-
Better is better. The perks on my lvl 12 hand cannon were amazing. But I still put it aside for better weapons as I leveled up. Can your lvl 10 gun handle a lvl 20 strike? No? Then the lvl 20 guns are better then it no matter what perks it had
-
You're completely missing the point...they need to put more effort into making them make us feel more powerful as we get more powerful
-
Naw your completely missing the point of levels
-
Even WoW gives better weapons with each expansion in terms of stats not just level
-
The weapons are only better because they are higher level
-
Not even close...they're better in base stats every time
-
First. No. Base stats apart from attack can only go so high or wow would have weapons that attack 200 times a second by now. The only base stat that always goes up is the attack/damage stat. Which is the one star that always goes up in every level based game. It is the same base stat that will always go up on or new weapons. It's the same god dam thing man.
-
It's not. Because even a 300 fatebringer does more damage than a 331 WoC Why? Better base stats

Edited by GraveBane: 8/6/2015 2:41:35 PMdifferent style handcannons. do you bitch that your high ROF scout does less damage then your slow ROF scout too? again in these types of games there are always high speed low damage and high damage low speed weapon within the same weapon type there. there are also low range high damage, high range low damage, reload speeds and stability also factor into play when you are balancing weapons within the weapon type. plus they were both lvl 20 weapons. maybe you should go back to playing Cod man. this all seams way to complicated for you to understand.
-
And it seems way to complicated for you to understand that every single expansion has given us weapons WORSE than their predecessors. This is why people are saying the weapons need to be worth moving on to a gun that'll really replace our old ones. Not just replace it because we have no other choice. I've played WoW and many other MMOs and none of them give you weapons/gear that are worse than the predecessor Nice typical rebuttal though "go back to COD" it's only been said at least 1 million times on these forums. There's a difference between making guns good and making them the only option. Do you understand that yet?
-
every single expansion has given us more and more lvl 20 gear. slightly higher attacks but different types of weapons with in their set archtype of weapon. I mean its not really hard to understand man. lvl 5 gear is better then lvl 1. lvl 10 gear is better then lvl 5. apart from the attack/ damage the base stats stay the same within the variances of the weapon archtype. I really dont believe you played wow or any other MMO. if you did you would understand how weapons and levels work and you clearly dont.
