so you basically wanted to use the same gear for the next 9 years until destiny came to an end?
seems legit.

Edited by Adam: 8/5/2015 8:40:01 PMPeople use and grind for other things. Look at Hopscotch, Her Benevolence, Messenger, Dry Rot etc etc. Problem is, with these 2 DLCs, there were only a handful of weapons actually worth having. It's not about people not grinding 'cos they have good gear already. It's about the fact that there are a pitiful amount of genuine viable alternatives... Who would use a rocket launcher with Dreg burn?.... Making every piece of gear in the game (and by doing so, making our time spent) obsolete because they made the VoG weapons way too powerful is a mistake.

for the most part i agree with you. the real issue is that bungie made the first batch of guns too good. i believe this is how they are remedying that. if you look at whats going on with TTK, it seems as though they are trying to start over in a sense. most people cant cope with this and are freaking out, sad really.
-
Yeah, the VoG weapons were exotic standard. Waaaay more powerful than they should have been
-
no, you dont get it we should be able to choose which weapons we want to use, fatebringer is great, but maybe I can get a similar weapon with void or solar damage, a special weapon that i love using or a machine gun as I dont have a preference there yet we should be able to pull certain weapons from each expansion, + vanilla and create the ultimate arsenal, unfortunately HoW weapons were garbage so it didnt allow for that and, also, no, I dont think anybody expected to carry weapons into Destiny 2, but this is still Destiny 1
-
i do get it. you don't understand that there is only so many things they can put in the game. by adding in obsolescence, it creates a feeling of newness. personally i enjoy trying out new guns and gear. you won't know if you like something else unless you try it. you people complain there isn't enough new stuff to do, but you want to do it with the same gun for the life of the game? sounds a bit hypercritical to me.

then you bought the wrong game.
-
They sold a different game
-
true, can what Bungie is doing being considered false advertisement? They marketed it as 1 thing, then flipped the script on us
-
Maybe not... But the option would have been nice.
-
The thing is their is no OPTION when it comes to the Destiny community. Just the amount of must have Ghorn lfg posts proves that. Soon every lfg post will say, "must have fatebringer and found verdict." You may not want to use a gun but the community will force you to use one in the endgame content! So no. There can be no option unless you want to use the same guns for the next ten years.
-
it doesn't matter what bungie did, all the crybabies on these forums will still complain about anything. no matter how much they change to accommodate the community and give them what they want, the toxic community still bitches about it.
