An entire years worth of content that takes only 20 hours to complete when you aren't grinding it for gear.

Not only that but have to do the raids and poe activities and level from 20 to 40 with the new progression system they won't be up to where we are currently in a few days

The new progression system will be based around experience, they won't have to do the raids or PoE if they don't want to they could easily just grind crucible and strike playlists. My point is that in rpg experience systems the experience requirements for leveling up are exponential, and typically the experience necessary to gain a level is greater than the cumulative experience needed to reach the level preceding it. It will more than likely take less experience to get from base to the current cap than it will for those of us at the cap to reach the next level. This is how Bungie will make sure that new players are not locked out of new content. If you don't believe me just look at the vendor gear from the last two expansions, new players were only ever a couple days to a week behind experienced players.

Crucible doesn't open up for new players until like level 8 or something if I'm right. Regardless it won't be as much of a grind but year one players have a big head start

It only takes an hour or two to hit level 5... You can power level to 20 in 8 hours if you go full try hard, people used to do it to run the vault more than three times a week it's not that hard.
