While I won't disagree that it's going to be all for naught, at the same time, this is a common occurrence in actual MMOs, where eventually, DLC outstretches current game stuff.
Expansions, DLC, whatever you wanna call it. It's natural for a game to do this. It's how this shit works.
So, while I am bummed that my FB or VoC won't be coming along with me (also a bit mad they gave us ToO adept weapons but we can't bring them because they were actually harder to get) I totally understand it and have been through it many MANY times before.
The same shit is going to happen EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. Get that in your heads, guys. Unless they allow it from year 2 into 3, then I will be ticked. That's just mean.
Also, just because you won't have your current weapons doesn't mean you've lost your ability to play the game. You're going to be better than people who start Year 2, just like Day 1'ers were better than Christmas or Summer newbies.

Another point, that shit won't be lost either. Might be... Eclipsed by your hatred, but that's your fault, man. Not you as in, the person who replied, but you as in anyone reading this shit. Experience and experiences won't be lost. Tarnished, maybe, but not lost. Isn't that enough? You have suffered through nearly a year of destiny and it's finally starting to look up just a TINY bit. I for one am a little excited for TTK, if not for anything except new content.
