Wouldn't you rather have new weapons to chase? Rather than have the same stuff for 10 years?
Did you play Witcher 3? Did you complain that your character didn't have all the same weapons and armour that you had at the end of Witcher 2? Etc

I see your point but that's assuming this is actually going to be Destiny 2, an actual sequel. Otherwise it's a bit apples to oranges of an analogy. It appears TTK is a large DLC. Speaking, i gotta check out witcher 3. Haven't played any witcher before this. Had the 2nd one on my old RGH'd 360 and never fired it up.

As I said to someone else. I think this is an issue for the children who play Destiny, it's not going to be an issue for any grown adult (massively embarrassing if it is), but everyone is free to express their emotions.

Not the same thing at all. All your witcher 2 gear is safely in your witcher 2 save file. Witcher 3 is an entirely new game. Bungie is essentially forcing us to delete our old gear if we want to play, that's the part that makes me question whether or not I want to play TTK. I was ok with Vault weapons staying at 300. But I didn't want to delete them. And I didn't.
