All mmo players be like: "yep been there done that"
All non-mmo players be like: "omg wtf smh my Fatebringer no!!"
yeah destiny isn't an mmo. Just the concept of new gear out dating the old is a very old concept. You must be young
Usually gear is replaced by equally good stuff instead we get void rocket launcher with shank burn...

Except if you take an extended period of time off in games people want to compare destiny to without actually naming them, then you fall behind and have to catch up. If i stopped playing destiny right now and picked it back up at the new expansion, I'd be in the exact same spot as everyone else. Progressing and resetting aren't the same thing. Bungie is resetting the game, not moving it forward.

Isn't that the same thing as in WoW? Start playing when a new expansion hits and you can raid with veteran players in no time... Bungie's style feels more like resetting, because it's a shooter and they try to keep even the first levels somewhat challenging, even for max level players. WoW is more like 'fvck powercreep, it only goes up from here' which lead to players soloing old raid content that was meant for 40 players... But the logic how gear is handled and how "meaningful" your grind is, is very similiar in those games.

Most console players are just too ignorant.

Actually not young and one concept doesn't mean every game needs to or does it. Played more then you and have more experience in these things. Good day!
