So you want to use fatebringer throughout the whole 10 years of destiny?
What a joke lmao.

If we want to pull out a trusty Fatebringer in 7 years we should have the option to keep some of our original gear. Even if that means making them better, gaining new abilities or perks like our Guardians do.
-
No sense on how an mmo progresses. no real sense on this comment. "I want to keep my fatebringer cause it's the easiest way to trash mobs". no, no AND NO. There's a reason why power creeping is a big thing in mmos. because it is needed. Counter this arguement would you? If you would be able to ascend your FB, what is the point of the other raid hand cannons?
-
By definition or not, Bungie doesn't consider Destiny an MMO... But there is plenty of debate on that topic. I use Fatebringer as an example of a legendary raid weapon that is highly sought after and many STILL haven't seen drop. No matter which legendary hand cannon you enjoy, the option to take a given number of year one items with you would be favorable. If some are overpowered, nerf them appropriately, or whatever makes sense. They tell a small part of our story and our victories. (Our legend)
-
You still didn't counter the arguement. What's the point of the other raid hand cannons, if fb is gonna dominate them?
-
The only other raid hand cannon is Word of Crota which is a great hand cannon since they fixed the perks on it. It may be fastest firing hand cannon in the game next to The Last Word. It has good stats and during a void burn it is a monster. Moving into future expansions, Bungie has control to nerf and/or buff all weapons to keep the game balanced. So FB is susceptible to being balanced as well where needed. For example: Thorn, Hawkmoon, Last Word are currently dominant in PVP.. but only for so long.
-
Oh, exactly. You forgot about six dreg pride. Another hand cannon. What happened to it? You forgot it. Why? Because you can't see past fatebringer.
-
My fault. I didn't realize you were looking for an argument.. Six Dreg Pride is not a RAID hand cannon. Fatebringer is a great hand cannon, but I enjoy scout rifles a bit more than hand cannons. I suggest taking your debate to a passionate Fate' user and you will get much more give a damn than you will from me.

Ps. Take care, and God Bless.

Edited by Neo337: 8/5/2015 1:46:58 AMBut you can't make us "move on" from the gun just by not letting it upgrade. The reason to continue to make raid hand cannons is because they come up with new and exciting perks that make us want to try or switch to the new one. Don't "recreate" the FB, but make a new gun that does something else unique and different so we WANT to use it.
-
It's not only hand cannons. Frequent end game PvE setup: Fatebringer shotgun/black hammer/icebreaker Gjallarhorn. Where's the scout rifles? The auto rifles? Pulse rifles? Where's the variety?
-
Because they have not made them WORTH equipping. Make new weapons that have unique and cool enough perks that I will want to use that INSTEAD of my old stuff. You can't just make new guns with the same perks, or WORSE ones, and say we HAVE to use them because we don't want everyone using old stuff. We use the old stuff because you haven't made new weapons worth using.
