Why they hell would you want old weapons to continue? They become stale and boring. If the destiny franchise continues through the ten years, they would need new weapons to keep refreshing the already stale game.

I feel like having the option to ascend older weapons makes the game more diverse overall.

nobody cares, but at least give us the option to choose which weapons we want to use all these decision just feel forced, and makes the grind pointless

Edited by NYDIBS: 8/4/2015 6:27:50 PMbut this isnt an rpg, otherwise there would be constant leveling with no cap (maybe 99) and your lvl would be more important than your gear like i said in a previous post, nobody cared about the weapons from lvl 1-20, you didnt get attached bc it was RPG style but then we got to lvl 20 and we've been using some of this gear for a year, i dont think Bungie can just render the gear useless

LOL constant leveling? I dont know if you have ever played an RPG before, but all of them have a level cap. Or at least a hard level cap. Diablo 3 is the only exception I can think of with thier paragon system...
