Kid? I outage you m8. Stick to your pessimism.
-
You asked for thought, and I gave them
-
Yeah but... i see nothing constructive. Just a shot down.
-
If you like I can give a long answer why not.
-
Please, do. Im curious to see all sides of the coin.

The ketch is in hostile territory which is mostly controlled by enemies.
-
The winter Ketch? Yes... but there are hundreds of Ketch. I see no reason why a Ketch cannot be ours IN orbit. A place to navigate to with the Director on the navigation screen. A place to travel to just like the tower or the reef. But for individuals or clans to invite their friends to and customize to fit their own tastes.

Edited by Unforgiven: 8/1/2015 5:03:11 AMThe Ketch are not freely given to guardians. Guardians have their own small ships. If a soldier defeats an enemy commander in a war. Do they get their palace as reward or does this go to the army or government?
-
What of all of the guardians who have become more than just foot soldiers? I see no reason why we have to stay lackeys all this time. Personally, being singlehandedly responsible for stopping the black heart. And beong apart of a team that stops gods... regularly... is deserving of a jump ship not even capable of reaching Saturn. Youre telling me that you wouldn't enjou having a ketch player home?

Edited by Unforgiven: 8/1/2015 9:03:09 AMYou are just a soldier in Destiny 1. Not a special guardian of higher rank. You are the bare minimum grunt in Destiny 1. I am telling you that this goes against the story. Also why would a guardian even want to live in an enemy ship. Maybe a deserter might. But this is going off topic now.
-
A grunt killing gods, a simple soldier fighting Oryx. A being no one has ever seen yet. I think not. And it isnt an enemy ship. It is a ship taken by those who made it barren. If you were in the world of destiny, would u not procure any technology you could to benefit your cause? So how is taking enemy property and technology unheard of? We use their weaponry, we use their tactics, we ally ourselves with some... we even drive their land vehicles. Yet taking a ship, is just not possible?

Edited by Unforgiven: 8/1/2015 9:11:43 AMYou have a great imagination. But quite honestly. Fallen Ketch is nothing special It is dark, gloomy. And kind of reminds me of Prison of elders. I wouldn't want to live in a prison. I prefer planet earth. And Guardian style capital ships are my cup of tea. To each their own.
-
A personal fascination with ships may have me biased. But when i first.popped destiny in and saw the jump ship, my first thoughts were "i cant wait to fly this thing". What of a player structure hours on earth/moon/venus/mars? With the same features of course. Trophy room, upgradable vault space etc.

Maybe in future game, they will allow players to choose Fallen as a playable race. Then we can maybe experience something akin to what you are saying.
