Can I have A Ketch Already?
Okay so since vanilla game I've understood the Fallen ranking system. We kill the winter Kell and we earn no such appropiate reward as the Queen did. She killed the Wolf Kell... and she got all of his fallen and all of his stuff along with them. As soon as we drop the Kell of Winter.... that Ketch, technically... should have been ours.
Now Taniks... all of those Dregs running around to kill their Leader's killer... so that they earn the respect and leadership over their kin.
Skolas, "Kell of Kells"... we defeated that fella twice. Once was a grand kill in the queens arena. And still... no Ketch.
The Queen is Awoken... so the argument that we are not Eliksni is silly. She did it, so can we.
Not to mention this would be excellent plot filler for giving us a means of reaching Saturn and such places.
This could be an amazing personal social area for clans and friends to show off trophies and the like within their Ketch's Walls. Name your ship, store your jumpships in the Skiff hangar-bay. An upgradable Vault and customizable cosmetics such as banners, lighting, coloring (external and internal), etc.
Upgrade your Ketch with vendors and cosmetic npcs to bring it to life(Fallen maybe?)
This could also be integrated into PvP. But not in the traditional sense.... take the soccer ball or bouncy blue ball and give it purpose!!! Guardian Competitive Sports! Just kidding(maybe).
Thoughts?
(Also Bungie this wouldn't require too much in the department of designing new assets... you have Ketch interiors and a plethora of cosmetic inserts for "furniture".)

Edit: Keep this trending friends! If it stay near the top they may actually consider this. Of course I am getting my hopes up way too early... but still. One can dream.

3 RepliesEdited by firewolfpup100: 8/1/2015 4:12:47 AMYeah if your a major clan and your members had enough glimmer a quest could pop up on Venus on the fallen winter ship in which you take out the remaining fallen on the ship( could include winter walker). After the mission, your clan gets the ketch to share and customize and it would be a destination above the tower. You can put in furniture that reflects the clan as a whole. And eventually if you like this, it can be used as a base for clan wars in space and land battles.

1 ReplyYa know, at first I thought this was a bit of a spoof thread. However, after reading through, I think you're onto something. That's a pretty cool concept and I can definitely see the added depth this idea will bring. All in all, great idea.

Bump At least give me two or three captains just to chill out near the drop area They start as red bars (winter) for killing winter kell And then yellow bars for killing skolas as well as giving you an extra three captains(wolf)

Have you played Fable 3? The sanctuary worked in a similar manner. Of course, though, that game had very limited multiplayer compared to Destiny. I could see a Ketch being another generic social space in Destiny, with unique NPCs and areas to go along with it. Destiny 2 could really make the idea shine though; could make the Ketch your guardian's home away from home as you describe.

2 RepliesWhat would stop the Fallen from rebelling? What Happened with the Queen was unique. Variks is Judgement and they (House of Judgement) were the "Ruling Class" of the Fallen. Variks gave the Queen the [b]authority[/b] of a Kell. She had no [b]REAL[/b] hold on the Wolves. After the Reef Wars, The Wolves were scattered. If anything, Uniting the Wolves under the Queen was a worse choice than killing/capturing them. Regardless, This is a good Idea. But maybe a house in the city instead? (If we killed the leaders of the Fallen, wouldn't this extend to other races as well?)
