Ironic perhaps.
I utterly loathe Porche. And McLaren. Ew.

You don't appreciate cars if you loathe the F1

Edited by Aldrich: 7/22/2015 1:20:48 PMTo elaborate on the "brand" thing. McLaren at this point is maintaining a brand. They build cars to maintain their brand. Years ago when they did the F1, it was about the car driving the brand. Not the brand driving the car. Ferarri, Lamborghini, Porche all seem to have fallen into that trap. These days, Koenigsegg is where those companies were at 30 years ago. Building cars for the sake of building outrageous machines. That's totally why I respect Nissan's GTR experiment when it first rolled out. They set out to prove that supercars can, in fact, be put together on an assembly line AND the fact that you don't need to be a berlinetta in order to have insane aero. The GTR when it came out might as well have been a saloon. And it had better aero than some Lambos, Porches, Ferraris that do use the berlinetta shape. Mission accomplished.

I appreciate what the F1 did for mororing. As a brand, McLaren, I'm just turned off by it.
