I generally avoid playing with folks that are noticeably younger, not because I don't like playing with them, hell half of them are pretty damn good. It's mostly me censoring myself. I have an adult's conversational tastes that I don't really expose my own kids to. Thus when I hear any kid my Dad switch turns on, and I'm instantly less comfortable talking in my usual tone. Nothing personal, but I play Destiny to turn my brain off and wind down from work, the wife, and dealing with my own kids, to find some measure of catharsis before I have to get up and do it all again the next day...not to hang out with someone else's kids who just by their presence wreck my attempt at escapism. I'm trying to be as close to drooling numb to the world as possible, saying whatever falls out of my brain with no Dad filter. If I want to game with my brain on, I don't really age discriminate... but I also wouldn't pick Destiny to play out of my vast game library if I want to engage in thought.
