Round 6 has begun, and we're on the home stretch! I'm gonna be a little less lenient now, so I'm gonna leave the riddle up to you guys now, and I'll add hints after a certain number of replies.
So good luck guys!
Who/what am I?
"I exist to serve death, though I am not in control of what I do. An unknown ultimate power lurks in the edge of existence, which is my source of life. You'll know me when you see me, but by the time you realize the truth, I will have already won. I am less a weapon than a doorway, and through this causal loop, I am unstoppable."
Winner: The Tree of Ruin
Answer:
Line Rifle
Explanation:
"I exist to serve death, though I am not in control of what I do."
The Line Rifle is a weapon used by vex hobgoblins, so they are used by enemies that are trying to kill you. The Line Rifle is controlled by the hobgoblins, and they can't think for themselves, so their will is not their own.
"An unknown ultimate power lurks in the edge of existence, which is my source of life."
In the Line Rifle grimoire, it says that it is believed that the vex weapons pull power from some unknown power source. This power is used to fire the Line Rifle.
"You'll know me when you see me, but by the time you realize the truth, I will have already won."
Everyone has had to deal with the damn hobgoblins and their rifles, and since they can attack from such long ranges with really annoying accuracy, sometimes you won't even notice them before they've already damaged you or killed you.
"I am less a weapon than a doorway, and through this causal loop, I am unstoppable."
This also refers to the Line Rifle grimoire card, saying that the Line Rifle is pulling from a greater power, so it is a doorway to whatever crazy power source the vex are using. I used the "causal loop" reference because the vex mythoclast and line rifle work in the same way, since they are both vex weapons.
Could you explain how it fits with the description, just so I can better understand the logic behind these riddles?
