Like many of you I have started to slow down in Destiny and recently I've started dusting off weapons in my vault that I have never used or only fired a few rounds out of in the Cosmodrone after just acquiring them.
Normally, I run Fatebringer with either Blackhammer or Swordbreaker and Gjallarhorn in pretty much everything PvE that I do. That set up is very powerful and has helped me complete every "Hard" mode in the game.
I finally tore down old trusty Fatebringer and brought her into the Gunsmith for some much needed maintenance. So I started using these other guns I have while the Gunsmith working on my primary of choice.
Exotics that are surprisingly good in PvE -
Bad JuJu - Honestly, the string of curses perk is a blast and I have a hard time NOT using this gun after I finally unlocked this perk.
MIDA - Nothing is more satisfying than drilling headshots with this weapon. And in the PoE, having 3rd eye while staggering EVERYTHING in front of you saves your life! A number of times I've been shooting away, then I notice a red flash on my radar, I switch to my shotgun and blast down whatever crept up to my side.
Invective- Since the shotgun buff in PvE, I find this weapon more and more useful in encounters I would have NEVER brought a shotgun to before. Example, Oracle in VOG Hard. Invective tears through everything the vault throws at you. And with that ammo recharge, you are a quick reload away from another dead major.
Dragons Breath- No it's not Gjallarhorn, but forcing myself to use something other than what I'm used to, lead me to this Rocket Launcher. And blocking the doors in PoE with this fiery ball is fantastic! I use it anytime in PoE when there is not a boss. Blocking the spawn paths is SO good and makes light work of the Tier 1 mobs.

Agree with BadJuju, it's great fun. I've just started a new Warlock and can't wait to pair that with Obsidian Mind for strings of supers.
