True but the old stormtroopers looked pretty imposing too, they soon lost that threat when they were beaten to death by teddy bears

You forget that the Ewoks had no trouble taking down the rebel group too

Both are clearly inefficient, but the rebels were of little tech and fewer in number, whereas the Imperials were a full garrison. Aside from this, other than their first scene, the stormtroopers have consistently exhibited a lack of accuracy

During the opening of Episode IV they effectively and efficiently clear out the rebel craft. After that their skills seem to falter.

I meant with blaster rifles not big ass guns with auto lock targeting

That's what I mean too, when they breach they manage to kill all the rebel soldiers very quickly
