You always have to prove your belief. If you can't reason out what you belief, then you are foolish for believing it.

This is the single dumbest thing I have ever heard in my life lmao
-
That people should be able to reason through their beliefs? I didn't know believing things for no logical reason was ever helpful in finding the truth.
-
That's the exact reasoning that separates Atheists from the Religious. You shouldn't have to prove your religion when you know
-
People shouldn't have reasons for their beliefs? That is truly the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
-
Haha, this ^
-
If you're an Atheist please stop arguing with me. As previously stated, that is the ideology that separates Atheists from the Religious.
-
I'm not an atheist. I don't understand how someone could possibly think to believe anything without reason,
-
So please prove to me why your religion is true
-
If you would like to have that discussion we certainly can. I believe in using reason and the knowledge available to me to find truth to the best degree I am capable of. That comes first and foremost. With the knowledge available and the reasoning I've done, I have come to deist beliefs. If you are interested I can go into detail on that, though it might get lengthy. I ask the same of anyone else, unless they don't care about any sort of truth.

Edited by SSG ACM: 7/13/2015 8:27:38 PMIt's fine if they believe it. They need only to find the justification for it inevitably. It's as the OP of this sub-thread stated.
-
The justification should come before the belief.
-
Does it really matter? History hasn't shown that to be a constant. Humanity will inevitable form their apostate opinions. It's only a matter of restating the same news into new minds.
-
Does the idea of logic have any meaning to you at all?
-
Logic is not always a surefire way to come to a sound conclusion nor is it a new idea. It's useful but it is always corrupted by personal biases
-
Logic correctly done with enough correct information is true. If it's not, then it's not logic or there is not enough information yet, which is constantly a growing resource. People change their beliefs with evidence all the time. If it is not logical, it's not true.
-
Is it logical to trust in your logic?
-
If you study it and think it has coherent reasoning. Unless you're trying to be all trippy.
-
How much correct information is enough
-
We constantly search for new information. We base our deductions off of the knowledge we have currently, and change it if new information requires that we do.
