Maps are too small for them to excel because handcannons are more effective at the ranges gun fights occur on these smaller maps

Agreed here. However it's sometimes better to get yourself down the channels. At closer Rangers TLW and Thorn are too much to handle as you need to dip in and out of cover to stay in the fight. Try this https://youtu.be/41G-39Lh1Zw
