I did the same thing and went with the One from a 360.
The best part is that if you own a destiny digital edition, you get the Xbox one version for free, and all your characters and gear move over as well (you can even play across consoles if you keep your 360).
If you didn't get the digital edition, but bought the game at a retailer, you will have to buy the base game for the one, but the DLC, characters, and gear will still move over as they are tied to your LIVE account. So that is a big reason to stay on the same platform family.
Also, your XBOXLive subscription will work on both consoles.
The only (Destiny related) reason to go PS4 would be if you really want the exclusive DLC they are getting in year 2 (we're getting the year one "exclusives" with TTK, apparently). The down side is you will have to re-buy the whole game and rebuild new characters. No gear transfers either.
It was a no brainier for me. I got the One.
Also, the new XB1 "Elite" controller looks like it will be amazing.
