I wouldn't mind leaving this humdrum home of mine. Things get so stale when the only intellectuals are the ones locked up. She plucks a flower of a vibrant color. It's petals begin to grow. Even if your threats are credible, I wouldn't mind meeting new people. Perhaps they wouldn't be afraid to surge past "morality".

He smiles on the inside a bit. Perhaps this one could be useful... "You are one of those people, hmm? The rose among daisies, the... Violet among the hues of red?" He begins circling her, enticing her with sweet words. "I can change things. I can bring order and intellect. And all you have to do..." He turns to the gates. "Is open a door."

Her hands meet yours as she closes them around the stem of the flower. I'm almost surprised how little you remember your previous master. Even through indoctrinating you, you retain a poor grasp on who she was. But I digress. A flower so bold and bright as the one you hold is but a dot on the canvas of a larger painting, and yet it yearns to be marveled at. But what does it do when it has gained that attention it so rightly deserves? The sensational aroma from the flower pours into the fresh air as the bulb in its center grows larger than the falling pedals it once held. Does it bask in it's glory until the time it miscalculates its next step towards growing ever larger? A blistering prick can be felt as jagged thorns emerge from the flawless stem of a ticking time bomb. She rises and scuttles toward you. Does it reject it's fame by lashing out on it's peers? She pokes the enflamed bulb with a small needle, colored the same blue as her hair. the plant wilts in your hand, diffused. No matter the method, the end result is the same: It either bursts with emotion, or is quelled by a superior. So ask me again how you can help me, instead of lying to yourself on the matter of who holds higher authority...

  • "I seek not to help you, but to help myself. I seek what is best for the Alliance. And Vulcan deemed her end the best course of action." "When the bomb was dropped, when Edgewater dropped the bomb, ready to incite disaster and demise, who saved your petty Queen? Us. The Alliance. Your Queen stood idle, prepared to abandon the City of Old. It was we who took action." He closes his hands around the remnants of the flower. Static burns the air, and the smell of Ozone is ripe as the flower begins to burn. "We, the Alliance, stood strong till the end. And what happened to your Queen?" He pushes his hand behind his cloak, drawing forth a handful of ash. "This. Because she was stupid and arrogant. She believed in the power of a lost Deity and she payed for it." He walks towards the gates. "Deities are lost in time for a reason, woman." He stops, and glances your way. "Well? Guide me. Your last ruler was a power to be reckoned with." "I am excited to see this power above the last."

  • I'm already fond of you, but you have made a critical mistake: As she flags the Paladins to open the gates, she whispers to you: She wanted that to happen, she wanted it all to happen. She leans away, a smile now fastened on her face. She is brimming with excitement behind apathetic eyes. And you took the bait. Come with me.

  • He walks with her, following the woman. "Did she intend to let another take the throne? Did she intend to allow this to happen? Frankly, I'm disgusted at the disorganization. Not a moment in and I see you daydreaming about other worlds."

  • Miss Bellicose was never the queen. She deserted the true monarchy in favor of pursuing her rival. She too serves a higher lord. The disorganization was made not to rule, but to lure: human slaves used as cattle and merchandise, massive dividends used for private expenses. Did it not once occur to you she made people suffer just to find the Traitor?

  • He is an anomaly, even among us. It was allied intervention that kept him from her, and even after she tried to kill him, she lost herself in fury. It was a fitting demise for someone so stubborn, but June is a piece in our puzzle. We would not be here if we no longer needed her. I'm sure you've noticed that her abilities are immensely powerful, albeit wasted on someone so self-centered. They are critical to success, but she was not the only host to something more divine.

  • I'm afraid I can't say much: these details are confidential. Even I do not know what Milady has in store.

  • The two approach the palace. Aegis warriors halt them, but the woman utters words in an unknown language, and they grant them access. The Aegises are taller than the average man, but something about them looks inhuman. Aside from your self-centered nature and favoritism of your kind over ours, is there any other form of disrespect you should warn me of before we enter?

  • "I am simply here to carry out my mission. The Queen is charged with two counts of heresy... Nothing personal, but we have to keep our standards. She will present her case before an Alliance representative— me, of course— and if your Lady possesses the same tongue as your previous ruler, I doubt dropping the charges will be a problem."

  • Her smile dissipates, and her eyes glow blue. With an unprecedented strength, she clenches you by the throat and lifts you from the ground, the lights flickering as you feel internally a ferocity foreign from the previous ruler. Your pitiful alliance failed to act before the killing blow could be delivered, and you have the audacity to blame Milady for failing to uphold the laws of deserters!? It was never her fault, it was ours: We saw of NO reason to concern her with matters so menial and undeserving of her divine presence! Her grip tightens, making the metal bend and buckle. Pray to your gods that she is merciful to the ignorant. The indigo eyes dissipate and she releases you.

  • "Failed? You believe we intended to act in the first place?" He chuckles. "Funny." Static courses through the metal, and it bends itself back into place. "Your Queen is akin to a Goddess, is she not? If she failed to notice her own insubordinate's actions, it is her fault. Nobody else's."

  • She laughs a dainty laugh, her anger subsiding. You still don't get it? June went rogue. We were tasked with finding her. Her death was a two sided coin, but it forced us to relocate here. Milady never knew of your kind until now, and even then, she would only answer to those who offered her something in return. She leans in closer. Between the two of us, Milady is indeed the child of Gods, but her powers are dissimilar to ours. Something is very wrong with her indeed, and I long to know what makes her tick. She backs away. But I digress: the alliance was never associated with the monarchy. Perth Varcoe was a paper town to begin with.
