I have no problem with what he said. He said all his company would let him without getting in trouble for it. He may have been a bit disrespectful, but it's his job to back up his company and justify whatever gimmicks they throw at the consumers, no matter how ridiculous.
He did his job, and just because those of us who don't want to re-buy the game throw a hissy fit over a few emotes, doesn't call for a public apology.
His job was to continue building on the E3 hype and bring more attention to the game, and that's exactly what he's done.

I don't care about the emotes. I didn't care at all until I read the interview and saw how they are basically saying "you'll pay whatever we tell you to pay and -blam!-ing like it." That's when I got pissy.
-
Lol, I got pissy when I was explaining to my wife why others were getting pissy, got louder and louder. Was pretty funny in the end. Just worked out that I'm pissy about the three emotes in a bloody game damnitt!
-
Same. I feel insulted. They are acting like they have a right to our money.
-
Yea that one line was the cancer "you would be throwing your money at the screen" What an arrogant prick....
-
That's why I said he was disrespectful, but in the end he was doing his job. No need for a public apology.
-
Yeah. I just went "wow".
-
We will just rain it on the screen tho, no matter what they do... Apparently...

Because we're just mindless cashcows.
