I bought mass effect for $60. And me2 for $60, and me3 for $60. Why can people buy all 3 now for $20 or less when I spent $180? Maybe because as games get older, less people are buying them, so the price goes down to get more people to buy them. Now, next time before making a dumb ass post that makes you look retarded, use your brain first.

Doesnt explain the increase in the dlc price. Explain how every dlc is 20 dollars except this magical one that oddly enough is 40 dollars. You dont see cod one year later boosting thier dlc price from 14.99 to 29.99. It is a constant price. How isit that only destiny so far is the only company to my knowledge to have inconsistant prices for thier dlc, and for year one players nonetheless
-
1. The Taken King is the Initial release for year 2 of Destiny. 2. It is significantly larger than all prior Destiny DLC drops. 3. The reason you don't see COD boosting DLC prices a year later is two fold. COD DLC's only come out in first year, secondly a new COD is being released so most don't give two sh!+s about DLC for the old one.
-
Except every single cod that had a dlc for zombies. What say world at war, black ops, black ops 2. Zombies is a mode in cod that in my opinion will stand the test of time and never lose its fun factor. It has an aspect of challenge that cant beat. It is always a challenge to me and each time I challenge myself to beat my last highest wave. I would pay 20 dollars for a zombie mode just because it is exactly that much fun. Just like I would pay 20 dollars for a destiny dlc. Because it is just that fun. They reduce the price to 20 I got no problems but 40 dollars is too steep

Edited by silverrhino1: 6/19/2015 3:31:53 PMAgain COD didn't release DLC's after year 1 as a publishers couldn't/wouldn't compete against a new COD game. World at War Initial Release: November 11, 2008 DLC 1: March 19, 2009 DLC 2: June 11, 2009 (360) July 17, 2009 (PS3 and PC) DLC 3: August 6, 2009 Initial Release: November 9, 2010 DLC 1: February 1, 2011 (360) March 3, 2011 (PS3) DLC 2: May 3, 2011 (360) June 3, 2011 (PS3) June 10, 2011 (PC) DLC 3: June 28, 2011 (360) July 28, 2011 (PS3 and PC) DLC 4: August 23, 2011 (360) September 22, 2011 (PS3 and PC) Black Ops 2 Initial Release: November 13, 2012 DLC 1: December 12, 2012 (360) January 17, 2013 (PS3 and PC) DLC 2: January 29, 2013 (360) February 28, 2013 (PS3 and PC) DLC 3: April 16, 2013 (360) May 16, 2013 (PS3 and PC) DLC 4: July 2, 2013 (360) August 1, 2013 (PS3 and PC) DLC 5: August 27, 2013 (360) September 26, 2013 (PS3 and PC) Now if you want to argue whether the DLC's matter, that is all based on one persons perceived value in the game (otherwise known as opinion and not fact). You have to compare apples to apples. 1 COD DLC $15 a piece for 1 new zombie map, 3-4 pvp maps and maybe a weapon or two; compared to TTK 1 new subclass for each class, multiple new weapons both legendary and exotic, a new raid, 2 new pvp game modes, multiple new pvp maps (4 that we know of so far) and 10-12 new story line missions. You seem to value zombies more than actual content, that is fact. Just go play COD...
-
I do. Even to this day so many years later I could pick up world at war zombies and have a blast. Meanwhile I cant bear doing vog anymore and crota just seems like a chore, the thorn bounty is impossible for me and the poe is useless if you have the exotic. Last thing to do is flawless the trials which I will do maybe tonight with a friend. Games shouldnt seem like a chore. Games should be fun. I personally think destiny is more of a chore than a game. Its got a big weekly checklist. But if you enjoy the new 40 dollar dlc then who am I to rain on your fun. To games my friend and happy hunting

Wow this post has shed light to your stupidity and danger to humanity, please don't post again
-
Is that the best you got XD Come on you can insult me better than that.
-
It's because it has more content you retard

Edited by sammy-00193: 6/19/2015 2:21:21 PMThen why are new players getting a discounted price of 80 dollars for all the dlc including the 40 dollar dlc
-
Edited by EL MUGNETO: 6/19/2015 2:32:03 PMI never said it was 2x increase. You asked how come it "magicaly" increased in price and I told you. God you're dumb. Edit: Wow nice editing your reply. What a piece of shit.
-
Oooo now im a piece of shit. Try harder. And no you dont have to say it increase 2x because it did. Regardless of what you say it increased to 40 dollars P.S if you are going to insult me be more creative. Your lack for creative insults is more insulting then the actual insult itself
-
WTF. Your dumbass said it yourself "not a 2x increase" before you edited out your comment. How stupid can you get?
-
Please keep typing. Im laughing my ass off right now. If only I knew how easy it was to get a reaction. Here let me end this. Overall the dlc looks nice ok. But at 40 dollars it is not an acceptable price. At 20 dollars it is totally worth it but to get that deal I have to buy the collection which comes with destiny, dark below, house of wolves, and taken king for 80 dollars (20+20+20+20=80). Taken king is 20 dollars in the collection but 40 dollars on its own. Dlc doesnt vary in price like that. The collection should be 100 dollars to account for the 40 dollar taken king price. Thats why people are angry. Year one players pay 40 dollars for the taken king while newcomers pay 20. Unless destiny is worth nothing at all anymore but I dont see the words free destiny base game on the cover. P.s you really should let a post get to you so much. I was only messing around with you jeez man. So livid as to call me names XD. Oh and dont take this as you not having to call me names. I always welcome typers
-
That wasn't even your original point. Whatever. I'm glad I managed to get a retard so worked up he had to type up an essay about something completely unrelated.
-
I wrote that to cool you down. The whole point was to get a reaction out of someone and it worked with you. Cheers mate, and have a good day
-
Right. Keep telling that to yourself, kid. Cheers, mate!

Edited by ProGamerSkill: 6/19/2015 1:46:02 PMYour personal gaming example and relative expenditures actually makes you look a bit more retarded than my post does. Yore comparing a franchise that started 8 years ago. Not nine months ago. Do you even Calendar? Don't be a meathead. There's no way anyone in their right mind can justify that if the whole 4/4 bundle is $60, why the last 1/4 should be $40 to the day one player. No one can figure that makes any sense at all.
-
-
Bud that's not even a valid argument. The price doesn't drop that much
-
The price drops based off a number of different factors. There's been new games that dropped in price by half in 3 months. If it's not selling as much as they want, the price is lowered to attract new customers. It's a perfectly valid argument.
-
You're talking CoD Ghosts there. couldn't sell a copy to save their lives. Destiny has what, over 12,000,000 players? My numbers might be way off there, but they are selling copies. Thanks.
-
For me it's not the price that bugs me, it's that if I want the collectors edition, I have to re-buy destiny + expansions 1-2...
-
That's a valid complaint.
