So do you understand how economics? Or the world works? Almost everything loses value with age? Are you asking for money back on your Xbox One because it's less now than when u bought it? Should I get money back on my $50,000 car because it's being sold for 27,000 now? Should I get the 2nd and 3rd Iron Man movies for $5 because the 3 pack is $35 when I paid $30 for the original on Blu ray? Should I get a free IPhone since I paid $200 for the IPhone 5 and it's $.99 now (ps I don't own an iPhone it's an example) Things especially electronic items lose value over time? The world literally works that way. Something new emerges and is sold for a price, and aged items decrease in value as they lose popularity to increase sales. I understand your point as I myself am a Day 1 player and have paid for everything. Although I understand older items are now less expensive due to them having aged or decreased in value. Cry if you want, but you are either oblivious or are in for a rude awakening when u get into the real world.

As if the world works correctly. Its quite unsettling to see someone defend the current economy as a good one. Besides, how can a game's value go down 40$ in less than a year, ridiculous, imo. Assuming the new game disc is showing the taken king is worth 40 and Destiny 20. It gives no incentive for veterans and loyal fans to remain loyal. Some might say 40$ is nothing, but as far as video game prices go, this is overkill Especially considering this an online video game, 100% mind you, where everyone has the same rules and limits, loot and battles. Does the players time go away? This wouldnt matter for your blu ray device or your iPhone, as it is not an experience you share, its an object you use, sometimes for enjoyment, many times for utility. A competitive player base just cant put up with this shit

  • And if you're trying to make the point of "as if the world works correctly," don't sit and criticize without ideas on how to improve it. Sitting and complaining has never gotten anything done. The dumbest arguments in the planet are those that just make comments instead of proposing in ideas to fix said issue.

Complaining gets plenty done, if someone dislikes something, said person obviously holds critisisim for it, otherwise there is no reason to propose an idea or system as you claim, well this an argument for another time haha. I'm no business genius, and after thinking a little I knew my message came off as ignorant to the depreciation of value to the antique. I get it and repent some of the stuff I said. But, I think that Destiny is nowhere near to being old enough to be depreciated down more than half its original price in a year. Again, I recommend you to think how Destiny and what it is, compared to lets say an iPhone 5 as you mentioned(I'm skeptical about it costing 1$ now, in conventional terms). I rather compare the first iPhone to the iPhone 6. The first is now completely irrelevant, but the iPhone 5, not far off from 6, is very relevant in terms of usage. Lets pretend for a moment apple products werent so dependent on the label name, and with that I say that vanilla Destiny, and the next two expansions, will most likely remain very relevant to the game. Daily missions, strikes, nightfall, raids for exotics and the like.

  • I like how you use the word "current" to describe the economy. Shit hasn't changed its been the same economy for over a hundred years. And yes it's an online video game. But it's not like WoW's expansions have stayed at the price from when they launched or the game itself. Age decreased value period. Companies lower prices to increase sales, period. If you actually believe that charging the same amount for every item for its existence you haven't quite thought things thru and certainly wouldn't make a very good business owner. The simple fact is people won't pay top dollar for something that has been deemed "old." The word clearance at all retail stores proves this. Do u think Halloween shops would sell anything if they held prices sturdy on Nov 1st? If you can't come to grip with reality then I'm sorry sir, you're in for a rough life.

He is not supporting how the economy is, he is simply stating facts about depreciation Edit: ur time was not wasted (well depends who you ask lol) the experiences you had at launch are simply priceless... Newcomers don't get that
