OK, so I've read a lot of posts begging for a trading system. Which frankly I hate the idea of getting something for free, I like to earn it... even if that means I'm not the cool kid who has it!
So I have a proposal, a common ground if you will, that maybe bungie and trading can come to terms on. It would be a borrowing system.
The Borrowing System
Would work as a way for you, a more experienced player, to not have to completely carry another player who had weak weapons or the wrong guns, newbs... We've all been there probably on both sides of the equation at 1 time during our days on destiny... I've been the guy with a rare primary doing vault of glass back when me and my friends first cracked the vault. I've also been the guy with broad shoulders meant to carry other players who had experienced the same luck with guns...
It sucks for both parties, so the borrowing process would take place before a raid, strike, story mission or trials while sitting in orbit after the even has already been selected for launch but not actually launched. it could be another option When looking at the roster member context menu that would connect to your extra gear, of course the receiver would need a free spot in whatever gear type. Also for armor borrowing both characters would need to be the same everything (gender, class, race) for it to be compatible.
After a borrow has been completely executed then the event would start per the launch button as usual that is initiated by the fireteam leader. After leaving the event for any reason the borrow is void and you go back to the last piece of gear you had equipped. If your inventory is full it goes to your lost items as always.
The borrowed gear would have whatever stats the owner has on them. With no exp gained while being borrowed...cause that would get abused quickly...it's strictly to help the team win that event. I haven't decided whether there should be a limit to the amount of borrowed items 1 person could have on at a time? Maybe there should be a limit ? Maybe not? Any thoughts on the idea as a whole?
What do you guys think?
